By newer, I am thinking models from year 2010 and up.

I seriously doubt any of them use any model from 2013?

Lets say top 120 ATP or WTA.

EDIT: *off the shelf rackets with some customization and matching of course*

400 might be a little to high. I think a lot of guys on the futures circuit use retail models. I know Devin Britton uses a real tecnfibre 325, as well as Denis Kudla.

Are you asking for right off the shelf, with no customization or matching?

Lead tape doesn't count, like strings, meters of Tourna or not. Off the shelf=as anyone can buy it. Id est, those not using paint job, custom sticks, stuff molded to their hands, ect.

What about Querrey, Troicki, Tsonga? Probably lots of WTA players too.

Are you serious? That's interesting, how do you know?

By the way, is Querrey APD GT or just old cortex w/o GT?

EDIT: nope, Baghdatis is using his old (blue) racket again.

Well in the stringing room this week in Houston the only guys we found NOT using stock sticks were Monfils, Verdasco, Almagro, the Bryan's ( Old Ignite customs PJ'd to look like Rebels) and Haas. Did 4 of Hewitts on Wed in the a.m. but didn't get a chance to look them over.

Isner still using a stock stick - still have to tube the damn things as well. Jack Sock using stock Aero Storm - old PJ as well

All the other Babolats we saw looked off the shelf.

O wow, thanks! Time to find the list of all the players and the rackets they used!

EDIT: Did you notice any of them, except Monaco and Verdasco, use extended length racket? Michael Russell maybe?

From what I remember Russell using the std PD.......just about as off the shelf as u can get......he hangs out and uses the RDC machine at a lcl Tennis Retailer all he time. And has taken sticks right off the shelf when needed........also works out with Pete Lundgren at the Galleria Indoor and its easy to run into him.

Didn't do any measurements - no time really - it's was in/out with sticks fast this week.

I really really really really really don't understand how can someone who practices and plays so much use such stiff frames, like PD and APD!!!

Easy...just be young, have great genetics, above normal strength and flexibility, and have professional level skill that causes you to use your legs and core to create the racquet head speed and not "arm" the ball.

See...that's all you need to do!:)

All the players that were using the old cortex are now using the new active cortex. Babolat is not paintjobbing the new cortex over the old cortex. Apart from that, the frames remain the same.

ah even many at club level use pd without any problem. try to string them inside 53 and see for yourself.
