Still using the old ones and interested if anyone has tested or bought the new ones. Is it worth the investment?

I tried the new one, did not care for it, experienced a harsh stiff feel and not much stability, felt the old one had a better feel and more serving pop. Feels like a step backwards.

I might not be much help because i have never used the original surge but i have used the new wilson ncode npro surge and i think it is an excellent racquet with controlled power.

I compared the old and new surge side by side. The new one is an improvement in every category. But of greatest significance to me was that it was less stiff and had a beautiful paintjob, two areas the old Surge clearly needed attention! NOW if only they would come out with the "X" version....

I had the old Surges stick with them and save your money. Invest in a lot of practice!
