Man, I loved that book!!! I started it this morning while I was volunteering at my local hospital (the usual people in charge were out... so I got to sit in an office all morning), and just finished it now. Man, it was excellent!!! Homer's one good storyteller.

No, but I really liked Oh Brother Where Art Thou. I tried reading it a long time ago when I was a kid and thought it was hella boring.

Oh, I haven't read it, but I guess I was just under the impression that it was a HUGE book, something like 1000+ pages.

I guess I just have no idea.

^^^ No it isn't quite something by James Joyce, but it is an epic poem which can make it annoying to read.

^Shrugs. You can call bs all you want. The version I have is the everbind one... the story starts on page 77 and goes to 485. Not that long of a book. Harry Potter 4 was in the vicinity of 1000.

It's great. Check out the Aeneid as well. You might also consider the history of the Peloponnesian War by Thucydides. All the Greek tragedies are good too.

i think odysseus was overrated, although i did enjoy the story a bit. One flew over the cuckoo's nest and cyrano are the best school books i've read so far :D
