just bought one for kicks, but i don't know how it works? got it set up, need to buy one hex bolt to get it going, but otherwise, does it work like the klippermate? the part where you pull string is weird too, any help greatly appreciated. I basically bought it to get another flying clamp for cheap, $25 for the whole thing, why not when a starting clam is around $28-$38 bucks :)

Maybe he meant the Eagnas Hawk 10 stringing machine. It does have a weird looking string gripper.

    Mark 10

Found your post while Google search for Mark 10. The Mark 10 was produced/sold by SportsPal (I think that this company is out of business). I am still using one that I bought many years ago. The spring works like a clutch grabbing the string puller part as the weight drops. The problem is that the end of the spring with a 90deg bend will break. Possible to re-bend another 90deg - but difficult in that it is spring material (I never tried a blow torch to heat up the end to bend - which might work better). This bend fits into a little hole in the matching part (string puller part). I have fixed mine a few times - but getting more difficult to get this to work. I wanted to see if there were replacement springs available - but I think not.
