200USD!?M? Im 100% sure you are lying
EVERY new vapor9/4.3 sell 899HKD last year (1USD=7.8HKD)
This year price goes up to 999HKD, still cheaper than TW/TWE

If you find a pair is selling 200HKD i will eat the price tag in front of you

Asian size L is actually equal to US size M
    I dont see any different

Like last year HK missed Rottenham/IW/Madrid/Cincinnati only
Which is missing only four outfit
If that is call "lack of variety" then you must be buying really lots of stuff even more than me haha

Oh btw, dont forget 2012 Rottenham/IW share the AO and Miami short and shoes
    Madrid share the Wimbledon short
cincinnati share the US open short and shoes
So actually HK missed only 4 tops and 1 shoes(Madrid)
And dont forget lots of TT members crazy for the Miami Abyss short? It was selling everywhere in HK
U better prove how lack of varlety it is

Hey relax my countrymen. No need to call me a liar or eat anything for me. What's up with this attitude? Maybe I shopped at an expensive place (Time Square) or my memory is a little hazy. In my opinion, shoes in HK are more expensive than US. A pair of NB 2002 was selling for $375USD!! while I bought my pair in US for under $100. It could be because of the location or this model is more desirable, but I wasn't impressed with the pricing overall in HK. The good thing about shopping in HK is there's no tax. And I'm happy to see your huge RF collection and get to know your HK'tude.

Im not sure about NB but if you compare the price of fedal shoes (899HKD) to TW/TWE, it is actually a very good deal, and you can always get another discount when you buy more stuff.

200USD is for fedal shoes is completely impossible, especially in a big shopping mall time square, if you said you bought in a small local store i would guess someone take advantage on you, but obviously it isnt your case.

like RF new outfit, TW is selling 70USD TWE is selling 57.91€
HK is selling 439HKD(56.28USD/39.9€) without any discount
If you get a 30% off discount it is only 39.3USD, cheaper to buy a Nike tee in US

    What a steal!

The only thing that turns me off from this bag is it white color.. if a serious player used it, dirt and smudges would get on it.. But since of the material, you could wipe it off.. :)

There is... the length of the shirts.
You will find the Asian sized shirts are actually shorter.

Nah, I am not just talking the Federer line, just everything on the whole.

I stock shoes (like 3 brand new pairs of CB's 4.3 and one Barricade), but I also buy tons of clothes. Especially t shirts, some sleeveless (for summer and Nadal style :D).

My other excuse is that some of the t shirts can be used for hiking as well (i.e. the odorless one from Asics).

I think I got 20-30 t shirts (half sleeveless), about 4-5 long sleeve ones, 5 tennis shorts, 4-5 pants, 1 good fleece.

Ah and about 5 tennis bags, one being a collectible item.

I can't help but jump into the HK debate. On the majority side. I have to wonder if he's buying 2nds/knockoffs - or has a Nike connection. There's no reason there would be deals in HK: a) tons of rich people; b) (unfortunately) not many tennis fans - too many clowns with Man U scarves around their necks in hot weather.

I do occasionally find good deals at GigaSports and Royal Sporting House (back when they carried tennis stuff) - but most things are higher than US list prices. And some RF stuff doesn't make it there - or they just one of every size. And as @syke points out, you have to be careful - try everything on - sizes are often different.

Spotted a shop in Tin Hau last trip but didn't have time to go in.

@syke: yes, courts (and pros to hit with) aren't cheap - land is scarce.

Hey, as long as no one is being harmed, there is nothing wrong with spending hundreds to thousands of dollars in tennis items. :)

I'd rather do this gambling, doing drugs, etc.

I only wish I had that much money to spend on tennis clothes. I do use the "better than drugs, booze and cigrettes..." justification quite often myself:)

If I wasn't going on vacation to Ireland in September, I would get more stuff[IMG]

I might have to check out what shops they have, if any! I would have been interested in checking out an HMV since I'm really into Blu Ray/DVD collecting but I think they are out of business:(

I've got enough saved for Ireland but I want to go to Czech Republic next year so I have to save for that too:)

Feel free to post pics BLX!

Well how are you liking the new shoes and what do you think of the new man in your ex-wife's life:p

I'm proud of myself. I placed a smaller order than I had planned yesterday. The things I still want to get right now are on sale so I'm hoping TW might have another one of their awesome "extra" sales on clearance items:grin:

I still buy like at least one pair of new tennis shoes per year. Currently I am rotating 4 paris so it is not a wear and tare issue. I got sucker into buying new shoes when the colorway looks very cool.

Luckily I am not buying that many new clothes now as my closet is filling up. Haven't bought any RF or Rafa item since '10-'11. Somehow not excited by the latest designs. :)

Does anybody else have the problem of needing the brand of shirt to match the shoes? I must break myself of this habit, because my favorite shirts are Nike and my favorite shoes are adidas and Lotto. :???:

Shoes are the main thing for me. It just gets a little out of hand when you have to rotate 4 or more pairs at the same time.

    That's funny.

My wife has been ok with my insane purchases lately. I mean she's not happy with it, but I think she realises it makes me happy. I'm ashamed to admit how much I've already spent in 2014. :)

In general the shoe prices are a little lower than TW. Partly because there is no 6 mo replacement on any of the shoes. That works out great to me since I never wear out a pair of shoes in 6 months. Same thing for Nike/Adidas tennis clothing, they are lower than the TW prices and no taxes on everything. The lower end stuff may be closer in prices but I have not really look into them closely.
The problem is less stores are carrying tennis gear in the past 2 yrs. You will need to visit bigger stores in certain locations for that.
Selection is also a problem. There are less colors to choose from unless it is a very popular model. I don't really blame them because some tennis shoes are just too stiff to be a everyday causal / fashion shoe. And they need the extra rack space to put more basketball shoes. The new Lebran shoes are like over $200, no discounts, and still sell pretty well from what I've heard.

I was fine until my friend gave me a guest pass to the Nike employee store. half off everything, brand new, new stuff is there before tw usually and I can go whenever.... Just picked up a couple pairs of vapor 9's and a pair of vapor 9.5's plus a new tennis polo a few shirts and a couple new pairs of tennis shorts.

It was a deal until I got to the cash register.. Needed a refresh in my tennis wardrobe anyway. How can you not buy a couple pairs of Vapors for the price of one?

Love it, bank account does not.

A most excellent close full of sportswear my good man. Very impressive. Diff outfit for at least the next millenium or 10.

My son has about 70 pairs of sneakers. Dead serious. A clothes horse supreme. You are definitely on your way bro.

Do you have a pair of Agassi Denim shorts in a large?
I did buy the reissue of the Vilas Fila shirt with the racing stripe on the side. Love that one.

    Enjoy,

shoes are my focus.. i love them and i kill them.. i torch shoes as many tennis players do.. nike got me hooked with their very friendly outsole warranty policy.. the goal is to buy cages for $50, destroy them and get the $115 voucher.. securing a new pair and a bonus hat or other item..which fuels the process again. i been on a nice run for the last year or so.

Time to fess up. I buy two of every RF hat one to stick on my head and the other to store in a cupboard somewhere with the Nike tag still on. I used to do the same for Rafa until the second generation of hats came out which weren't well made. So I buy one of each new Rafa hat and store them in a cupboard too.

I'm more disciplined with the shoes and try and only buy them when they are on sale. They get used up eventually as well. For playing I much prefer Federer's but like to wear the CB and LB for just walking around. Suffice to say I have an inventory in the cupboard that will last several years.

With polos I buy less these days and only of the colours I like, like the shoes they eventually get shredded.

I have some of the special edition items released at the U.S. And WTF which again stay in the cupboard with the tags on. Again suffice to say I had to pay over the odds to get some of this stuff.

God knows what I will do with all this stuff at the end of the day. The wife thinks I'm pretty loopy but she is worse!!

Reassuring to know there are some other nutters out there.

Oh definitely others out here. just browse the boards enough and you'll see that:) I am on a vapor kick right now but I wait for them to go on the second sale $135 -> $108 -> $99. Want to pick up the newest ones as well as the ones at $108 right now.

Kind of want to get the two RF (respect/fear) shirts in blue and yellow and then just a couple lotto shirts from TWE. TWE has some nice ST stuff. I don't buy crews as much anymore and have never bought any polos. I do try and wait for everything to go on sale. I also like the recent Fed jackets.

I love when I tell myself that this will be the last clothing purchase for quite awhile. And then I hate myself when I break that promise:)

I'm the opposite at the moment!

Looking to buy new shorts & tops as the current ones I'm wearing had worn out (approx 3, 4 years old).

The problem I'm finding after trying different brands in the stores are:

Shorts - fitting larger with too much room in the front crotch and rear and longer in length

    Tops - longer in length

Is it just me who'd shrunk in the last few years or does anyone else experience the same issues?

Have yet to find some decent clothing that fits well & look good...

I concur with this. I mostly collect Fed, Nadal and Hewitt gear from 2003 - 2009. And it is starting to pile up.

For example I now have 7 of Federer's famous Aus Open 2005 blue zip crews. And duplicates of all the other 5 colours. Same goes with Nadal's sleeveless from the same season.

I find myself buying "just one more" of each of my favourites from this era just in case the existing ones I have get damaged.

At some stage I will have to sell a few or give them to fellow friends who are fans of tennis from that era.

    Not really.
I try to stick to a colour theme.
    Dark baggy shorts.
    Orange dri-fi polos/shirts
    Green dri-fit polos/shirts
Oh, I have 2 identical x Agassi polos throwbacks from about 2003/04 in great condition. White at top, black at base, green horizontal strip.
Usually go for black shoes, but currently have white K-Swiss for grass & Yonex SHT-304s for hardcourt.

I guess shirts and shoes would be my thing.

I specifically collect Nadal/Fed gear from 2009-2014. I have 30 hanging that I alternate through. Try to find the rarest ones, for some reason I love it. Thanks big auction site.

(PS: I wish to god Nike would bring back the Nadal 2009 style. LOVE the Doha polo, Madrid polo, US Open polos. This same shirt with diff colors for over a year is getting old. Also, they should bring back the 2010 style shirts made in Israel with the design stitched into the shirts (IE: Match For Africa shirt, 2010 US Open))

Shorts I have 5 pairs, no big deal there.

I alternate 5 pairs of Vapors. Before that it was CB 4.3's so I also have 5 pairs of those, mainly worn for work now.
