Anyone else do this with their Gamma X-2 flying clamps?

Had the stringer for years, and I just finally put some old grip on the clamp lever. Don't know why I hadn't done it sooner. I was fortunate that the edges on the back weren't very sharp, and I've never cut myself like others have. But on an occasion or two, I have felt the edge enough to acknowledge that the possibility is there. But with the old grip on there I don't have to worry about it, and an added plus is that it's now easier to release the clamp.

Thanks for a good idea. I've slapped on plenty of tape which does the job pretty well, but grip material would probably be better.
