The sole is wearing away like a block of cheese. It's really that soft. They feel great though. I won't buy another pair. I'll prolly just get Bar3's

What kind of courts do you guys play on anyway? :) I've been wearing my Vapors for about 6 weeks and they're holding up better than I expected. They're starting to get a bit slick under the big toe, but there's still plenty of tread left and the grip is fine. I was going to only use my pair for league/tournament matches and use my Breathe Frees for practice, but these have been holding up well enough for every day play.

I play on hard court. They are slick under the big toe just like you said. It's also kinda slick under my left heel.

Really? I don't think there is a warranty on the Vapors or the Breathe Free's. If there was, I wouldn't be so worried.

I don't see why that wouldn't apply to their top of the line shoes. Ask TW or the Nike customer support. Make sure you keep your receipt...

How kind of you. Care to give the original poster your brilliant take on the matter or are you here to pile up the posts for the sake of it?

My Grandmother use to talk about having the Vapors. I was a bit slow and it took me a while to realise she was talking about gas.

i just like pushing buttons man.......its a good time.......as for my response dave, i'll chime in, with CORRECT info i might add........

The Vapors are a lightweight performance shoe, Nike builds them as such, and some weight is cut by using less rubber on the sole, and a softer rubber compound to provide grip and court feel (while it lasts). They are top of the line because of their performance technology and are geared as a tournament shoe for a player who places a preminum on speed. So in short, i am not here to build up posts by pointing people in the wrong direction.......

I guess we have to appreciate your take on the tournament level value of the vapors but how does that answer the debate regarding the warranty?

it doesnt have a warranty because nike did not build the shoe to last for 6 months, rather to perform at a higher lever for a brief period of time

Wow! Did you seriously think that the Vapors had a warranty? Don't want to be mean or anything but I thought you were kidding.
The weight of the shoes should ring a bell.. the soles aren't made to last. Besides, all warrantied shoes are stated as so in their description.
