    Yes, I hate AT&T.
Plus, Virgin is part of a branch of Sprint. So coverage should be pretty good, right?
Also, that $25 plan for unlimited data/text + 200 minutes sounds really attractive to me.

If you are in a hevaily populated area there will be no issues with any carrier.

With Boost and Virgin the phone choice is not as large. You cant get top of the line cutting edge new stuff. But they give you some options. And the price is right. Around here the 25/mo gets you 300 mins and unlimetd text, emial, data and web.

A few of my friends use it here in the middle of nowhere (Hanover). It's reliable. It's cheap. It gets the job done.

If the phones aren't to your liking... just flash something that is.

An alternative to Virgin Mobile (what I use) is Page Plus. $30 a month (taxes included) for 1200 minutes, 2000 texts and 100 mb's of data. Runs on the Verizon network. If I'd known about the virgin mobile thing, I'd have gone with that though... As it is, I don't really feel like flashing my phone to Virgin Mobile.

I'm afraid I don't use Virgin Mobile USA, I didn't know it was legal, but I hear in Las Vegas it's legal to have Mobile Virgins...or at least that's what they say but sometimes they always seem so experienced at it.

I use Virgin Mobile whenever I'm in the States. Cheap and reliable IMHO. Good plans and acceptable coverage wherever I go.

I have used it for years - not the best service. You get a single band of coverage on Sprint so you can drop a lot of calls (since your calls don't switch to another digital band/analog band/other carriers etc.). On the other hand - it is cheappppp. If you shop around, some other pay as you go are pretty similar in prices (e.g, Boost Mobile, Cricket, etc) and they offer similar service via Sprint. I like the LG Virgin mobile Android Phone much better than the Samsung phone.

About service - I have read numerous review and have found through experience that places with lots of coverage (airports/urban areas) have wierd coverage gaps in data service but offer pretty good phone. Rural phone coverage is pretty sketchy.
