This is one of my favorite classic rackets ever!!! Anyone happen to have the specs for it?
I have one and agree that it's one of the most fantastic -- and under-appreciated -- frames ever. Strung-weight for mine is just a shade under 12 ounces (11.96, to be exact) ... that's with original leather grip. Not sure of the balance, but pretty head-light. String pattern is 14 x 18. String tension: 55-70. Beam width appears to be 18, possibly 19. Materials are graphite and fiberglass composite.
I love them and own two. The combination of a nice weight, balance, and less stiffness then the POG make it one of my favorites. Plus the control you get off the 90 inch head, not to mention the nice cosmetics on it.
I agree on all counts. The feel is much better than the POG -- due no doubt to the greater flex. And the weight and the balance distribution is just perfect. It's not often you find a true player's racquet from the '80s that comes in at a shade under 12 ounces. The only other racquet I ever hit with that was similar was a Dunlop Classic Pro Revelation (the purple one, in that series). But the Dunlop had just a tad too much flex, whereas the Pro 90 is just right.
Prince Graphite Pro
to tennis005 : Do you mean like this...?
no, doubtful. and clearly, that head cover doesn't match that stick...
Plus, the Series 90 Graphite Pro is different then the Graphite Pro 90.
