    how many grams of lead tape roddick ads to the head of his racquet?

    That is between 6 and 7 inches of 1/2" on one side of the frame and the same on the other. Assuming it is only one layer, he has between 6 and 7 grams in the head, which is roughly 1/4 of an ounce. This is also assuming Gamma lead tape. Babolat tape is a little thicker and, therefore, heavier.

    Babolat tape is twice as heavy as other tape.

  4. Who said that Roddick uses lead tape from Babolat? Anyway, Babolat also markets or has marketed a 1-gram-per-2-inches lead tape. It is a more shiny silver, like the one on Roddick's frame. The lead tape on Roddick's frame also does not have logos. I'm sure Babolat could get any density that a player wanted with or without logos, but really the less-dense lead tape is the way to go. Less-dense tape doesn't cram all that mass into a small area and make the string bed that much less consistent. I'd imagine that more-dense tape would also make things that much harder for a racket customiser/matcher.
