If 2K want to do it, it could a next gen game. If so what players would you like to see there?

I agree with everything you said. As long as Fognini/Haas is in the game I'm sold :)

Well something is going to come out eventually and I'd take this over another Virtua Tennis or Grand Slam Tennis any day.
Always wanted Soderling but seeing as he is practically retired that doesnt help.

im all for topspin 4 and a possible topspin 5, but has anyone else noticed how badly their timing is off in real tennis immediately after playing topspin 4? i think it may be because of its positioning and shot timing system.

virtua tennis's movement animation is really generic and exploitable, but i like being able to set up my positioning similar to how i would in real life. this coupled with virtua tennis's low-behind-the-back camera angle creates a great feeling of being on the court and doesnt hinder timing for when i have to play actual tennis. top spin, although being superior to virtua tennis in a lot of ways, can learn from this.
grand slam tennis is crap on the ps3, except for the graphics and current outfits/racquets (for 2012)

If Topspin 5 could improve upon the worthless communist generic movesets for the players which TS4 has (I don't like one service motion for 95% of the players), then I'm all for it!

Case in point, this is the Sampras service motion from Topspin 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWexBQwvXjg&feature=player_detailpage#t=61s

Then look at TS4. Nothing more needs to be said.

Or I must say,  !
    This is TS4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5AxXcV0zsg
The only one player with a reasonably alike looking serve is Roddick because it's so unique. Not even Federer has it. **** went backwards full throttle. Maybe one of the only points with availability on PC that VT has over TS.

Not to mention, besides graphical tweaks, no difference between a one handed BH and a two hander. Not to mention either the robotic animations, or incredibly slow players. Nice game overall, but it needs some severe upgrading.

I don't know if they ever fixed it, but I remember selling the game after they "patched" it, which made sure that pretty much every ball you hit went long.

At least the strokes in vt look somewhat like the players actual strokes. Ts4 is horrendous with that

Topspin 4 is awesome but if they are gonna have sampras in it, they need to make him better. His performance stats are terrible and not accurate. I think they should also improve nadal and murray too.

^Nadal is rated really high in TS. Murray's FH is also overrated, better than his BH, and well over Nadal's FH. They gave Federer a low net game along with no good use of the offensive slice which makes his BH even more useless.

TS4 = horrible game and devolution from TS3, which outsold it by more than 50%!

TS4 is easily the best tennis game ever made. The career mode is supreme.

I think that they should put all really famous layers there, not just the ones they are choosing. IMO there is a small number of players, not in comparison to other games.

I really wish they made a tennis game on par with all the other sports games on the market. The graphics in NBA 2K look almost lifelike. They also have hundreds of players from all teams. It would be nice to have a tennis game with maybe the entire top 20 in the ATP and WTA.

Top Spin has the most realistic gameplay but lacks in terms of graphics and players' motions. Virtua Tennis is better with the motions but gameplay isn't realistic. There's no game yet that has the best of both worlds.

I'd really like to see a tennis game with lifelike visuals, realistic gameplay and players' motions identical to their real-life counterparts. It would also be nice if the interface (such as the scoreboard) was the same as ESPN or Tennis Channel scoreboard. Maybe even add an option for commentary.

Awful. The next gen systems have been out for over a year, and nothing even developmental being announced seems unjust.

I play a lot of NBA 2k, and I 've been waiting for the chance for TPSpin5 to get on par with the 2k installments

I doubt they're going to do another one, so many people have asked on the 2k Forums and 2k is dead silent about it, though that Xbone is going have backwards compatibility you could play TS4 on the Xbone.
