    Natural gut mains/Prince Recoil crosses.

I saw some old threads where this possibility was raised optimistically. I believe J011yroger suggested it might be the bomb for some players.

Has anyone gotten round to trying it? Impressions, reviews, rants?

How about powerful multi/syngut mains and recoil crosses?

Interested to hear how recoil crosses hold up in a hybrid.

C'mon now. There was a fair amount of discussion about his hybrid possibility about 6-9 months ago, but the threads trail off. Someone must have tried this?!

I tried recoil in exactly this combo. I did not like it at all. In fact, I didn't like anything about recoil. Seemed underpowered, questionable control on big cuts (in the mid 50's), touch/feel were nice but nothing to rave about.

I should state that my preference is gut mains and a decent lasting, somewhat forgiving poly in the crosses. I currently use WC SS strung at 55 lbs along with my gut mains. I'd use Lux if it lasted longer but the most I get is 4 hours and I'll be damned if I am going to restring that often, especially with gut mains.
