What was the diagnosis and did you/how did you heal? Has anyone had anything like this below?

I am 4.5 and have played for years, now in late 20s. My forehand hand has been sore for months everytime i play tennis and afterwards, in the fleshy muscle between thumb and index finger. Particularly hurts on impact of a shot, the vibration stings like none other. It is the worst if i do a forehand slice or forehand volley, because the vibration goes right to the fleshy part of my inside hand. mri and ultrasound show nothing, hand doctors are baffled. I have pain now in everyday activities even though i have stopped tennis. typing, grabbing a pillow, using ipad, opening a jar etc sometimes result in a sharp pain or if i do them a lot, my hand generally aches. Ice helps...It isnt carpal tunnel or in the wrist at all. I am now trying to wear a brace for two months in hopes that if i have some sort of strain/tendonitis that it will heal itself.

I once had hand pain like yours for a week and then one day I was using a Sawzall and afterwards the pain went away. I call it vibration therapy.

I had the same problem around a year ago. Mine eventually went away after resting it for around a month or so. I should also mention that I started doing a variety of hand stretches after the problem surfaced. Maybe it kept the problem from recurring, or maybe it didn't, but the most important thing is rest.

To share an update, doc thought an injury could have created neuritis in the hand (nerve issues), gave me a 6 day prednisone pack. It immediately has helped remove 75% of pain. it does have side effects though. I will report back to share if it lasts after I am done with the treatment
