Where are all the moralists who like to point out that Nadal is a cheater because he recieved on-court coaching?

Nalbandian's coach was shouting like crazy.

The whole crowd was shouting crazy, should we fine Lleyton too?

    Whatchutalkin' bout'?

There was no coaching. I didn't see Tony in the stands. :)

Anyway let it go. Coaching is not a reality unless it's in the Nadal camp.

    Nuff said.

Every time they put a camera on her she has that spaced-out, air-headed look on her guinea pig like mug

    It was blatant coaching.
Not that I care too much, but it's just funny to notice the double standards.

Indeed lol, people here like thinking they play better than professional players, and think they snag better girls than some of them. Davy is still king in that regard though.

    "You're alright Toni?"

Anyway, great match.. people complaining don't love tennis. They're either haters or blinded lovers. This was awesome. Huge momentumswings like in the women's, because both can't serve that dominant.

This will probably be Hewitt's last year on tour. I dont see him motivated to plug on much longer losing early rounds in most events.

Nalbandian will probably go out next round to the young Lithunian or 3rd round to Ferrer if lucky.

Entertaining match will will lead to nowhere in the overall picture of the event.

Ah let us be, man. Ordinary people like me can spend their whole lives working hard and yet still never have such a glamorous lifestyle. At least let us critique on teh interwebs!

I thought this would epic, and it was. Shame to see one lose, this would have been better as a fourth round battle if not higher.

lol, my comment was just sarcastic.

on a side note, he pretty much did snag his wife. He broke up with Kim Clijsters in October of 2004 and than in January he was engaged to his current wife. :)

Can't say Hewitt made a bad decision choosing Catwright over Fiona.

Lol i know right? and they've been together for a while and keep popping out youngins :)

That aside, this was the first round i was hype for...and it did not disappoint at all lol. I figured Nalby would win but he started off so shaky.

wow this is why i love tennis, what a match, where hewitt will go from now i dont know, cant believe nalby actually won he usually bottles epics like these, but good on him for fighting til the end even though his body seemed to giving up on him, this exactly the match i wanted and expected if both played well, so glad we got it. The tournament has really started now, hope nalby can somehow recover a bit for his next match.

    Nalby is definitely the hero.

It might be the greast Grand Slam 1th round game ever.

And this statistic entry might be the worst ever:
    Hewitt: Break Point Conversions - 7 of 30 = 23 %

Happy for Nalby but concerned this took too much out of him for a long run.

Why does this myth persist? Kim Clijsters is the one who broke off their relationship by telephone.

I think Kim is nice, but everyone has their less likeable side. It's obvious that some people are believing stereotypes in this case, thinking Kim is "nice" and Lleyton is a "horrible brat" and assume that he dumped Kim as a result. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I watched a lot of the match live (and being replayed now on ESPN2) and it was a great match.

Why did Nalbandian win?? IMO, Hewitt didn't choke, he just didn't have as many shots in his bag as Nalby... Biggest shot missing, a volley. Nalby would come to net on some big points. Hewitt didn't.

Yeah I hope people don't forget about that. Nalbandian served and volleyed on match point against and came up with a drop volley winner off a great return by Hewitt.

Nably played the final few games really smart. A couple of his slice backhands - including the epic slice pass down the line - win a few key points for him.

Almost funny watching this year's tournament and seeing how many more guys are slicing more often and trying the drop shot way more than normal. Federer must be thinking: This is my real legacy. Yus!

A few years ago Hewitt would have dug this match out. Last few years, he really has struggled to close out these long 5 setters possibly due to lack of confidence.

Credit to Nalbandian though, he really started fine tuning his backhand in the final set. Also as much as everyone questions Nalbandians fitness, he stood the test of Hewitts grinding style of play.

The announcers kept going on and on about how these guys don't like each other. Yet all I saw was footage of one bumping into the other at a match. Is that it or is there more to the story?
