I think Wawrinka will have too much game for Dimitrov. Wawrinka in 4, but hope Grigor proves me wrong.

This is the kind of match I wish ESPN would televise but I know they won't; instead they'll give us a replay of Venus vs. some Russian

Ljubicic is on at the moment, up 1 set against Paire. Looks like a straight forward win for Ljubicic, followed by Bartoli vs Manasieva. I'd say wawrinka and dimitrov hit the court in 3 hrs time. Maybe? AO is so unpredictable.

When did Wawrinka start running back to the baseline (a la Nadal), after the coin toss??

More like the other way around, interesting to see if Pascal favours Wawrinka with the line calls. lmao.

Wondering how Dimitrov does in backhand to backhand rallies. Stan's onehander is one of the best.

Can anyone tell me somethin about Dimitrov's strength and weaknesses? Bh, forehand, serve? Any good?

Man, the stands are empty! Don't ppl know?

@ joeri888 Dimitrov is a very solid all-rounder apparently. The only question mark is his movement.

Commentators just said Dimitrov has been practicing with Federer in the off-season!

^^ His serve is consistent and powerful, it's not unusual to see him score several aces a set along with more unreturnables.

His forehand is good, but nothing extraordinary.

His backhand seems to be very good.

The problem is mostly consistency and brain farts.

So he got good variety and a decent serve, and a onehander and he's hyped as the next Federer. Really nothing new at TW then. If your forehand isn't awesome, there's not much chance you're the next Federer, even if you can play extraordinary points.

But thanks to both of you.

As well? Have seen NOTHING that suggests he's like Federer. He doesn't look like Federer at all. His forehand isn;'t very beautiful, and haven't seen anything special from his backhand slice. I understand this guy is very talented and very young, but he doesn't seem to look like Federer in strengths/weaknesses at all.

Huh. I didn't know there are actually Bulgarians in the crowd.

    It's kind of weird!

    I hope he breaks again.

It’s obvious he modeled his game / strokes after Fed. He has his own style so they don’t look %100 but that’s a good thing. The last thing we need is another Rampras. He’s obviously nervous as well.

I was just playing into the myth that he's "The Next Federer", "Baby-Federer", "Bulgarian-Federer" and so on. I don't think so myself, was just goofing around a bit.

Wawa in four seems like the logical choice. The youngster has got a pretty good serve and might actually snatch a set.

interesting to see how his nerves hold up in a tie-break. cause that looks like that's where this 1st set is heading.

his shot selection is poor. He has the shots, just needs the big match experience which he's getting now. He needs to consider this a lesson. He's obviously outmatched against Stan in this aspect.
