If this girl had a killer instinct it'd be one set all. If Serena doesn't come back out in a wheelchair, she's taking the match in 10 minutes or less. With the semifinalists playing tomorrow at noon, I wonder if Serena will be fully recovered in time. Vika will make her move as much as possible now.

Oh come on...its not as though Tipsarevic is ever going to amount to anything--or anyone expects him to. He's a mouth & attitude with as much chance of winning a major as a fly happening to land on court.

She's young, nervous and obviously not thinking straight. If this was any other opponent, besides Serena, I think she would have done so.

She's back. The serve is not at full strength, but she will grit through.

I concur with the ESPN crew, I don't think Serena will last through a third set. But it's not looking like we'll get one. :?

She watched the Almagro-Ferrer match yesterday and learned how to choke from the master himself.

That game impressed me. She blew her lead with tight play, got down another break point, played a great point, hit a winner and hung in there. That's impressive even in the context of her spraying errors the last few games.

Without her ATP level serve, I find it a lot easier to root for Serena. She's not as ridiculously dominant anymore.

Serena is just hitting basic 2nd serves and her forehand is quite inaccurate.

Everyone's beating up on Almagro around various boards; like "Tipsy," there should be no expectations with a player like that, so the outcome of matches should earn no more than a sleepy-eyed glance.

Doesn't look like Serena's quitting. Just took out a new racquet. She's only retired one time in her Slam career.

Is Sloane's trainer allowed to walk on court and smack her with a plastice whiffle ball bat?

She's not quitting. Before the tournament got started, Serena said her goal is to win all 4 slams this year.

If she retires from the match, or is defeated, she only has herself to blame for not allowing her body to rest instead of that assbrained double duty she insists on maintaining.

In fact, it might be good for her to lose, so she will be forced to recover properly, and tell Venus to stop living through her.

Both her singles and doubles matches rarely last longer than an hour. It's not like she would do absolutely nothing on off days, got to do some sort of work out.

That was not going to happen no matter how motivated she is. She can easily have another 2012 (2 majors), but the Grand Slam is about 8 years beyond her grasp, and even then it was not going to happen.

Sloane will get nervous. We've seen that she'll start to play defensively if the match gets tight. Why is Serena walking around all mopey like she's destined to lose? She's still hitting good ground strokes. She can win if she stays focused.
