I so want a pair of those shoes with pink.
Come on Roger
He wasn't trying his best, he didn't want to exert himself. Expect to see his best from Tsonga onwards (if he gets that far )
Shoes are terrible looking. Remind me of Nadal. Yuck.
Davy > Tsonga, we all know that except for the rankings. Davy wasn't confident and didn't hit as well as he usually does, Fed was a bit lucky to finish as easily. Last few years have proven Davy isn't a cakewalk for Fed like he used to be.
Overall, yes. Right now, no. Tsonga is a bit better. But I think Federer will bring his best and all against Tsonga, at least in the first 2 sets.
Davy pushed Fed to 5 sets @2006 AO.
Tsonga is one player who took out Federer from his pet Wimbledon tournament, Davy is yet to beat him in a slam and you think Davy> Tsonga? Tsonga has taken out both Nadal and Djokovic in AO with his power hitting.
...and Murray in 08
Davydenko has been so overrated by some in the leadup to this match, he has barely been able to keep a winning record since his wrist injury in 2010.
In your dreamz perhaps! It was four sets
Pretty ho-hum match by Federer's high standards but solid enough to be a comfortable win
If Federer plays even this well in the 3rd round I wouldn't be surprised to see Tomic cry at the whipping he'll get.
What'd he say? I fell asleep
Workmanlike job by Fed; Despite being contractually obligated to wear Nike's clown shoes.
i missed the match!
hadn't expected this scoreline. was it the same Davydenko from Doha, or the one from last year?
Davydenko" Rog , I can't believe you wear those pink shoes on the..."
Umpire "Game, Set, Match Federer"
i hope he doesn't wear the neon pink t-shirt that he used for practice a recently. a pale pink is ok, it's a masculine colour in europe, but neon is too 80s imo... and not in a good way.
The only time he will beat Federer will be on Playstation.
When I saw Federer's hideous shoes
^^^ my sentiments exactly...
Fed lost to Nole in 2012 FO in straights with 43 UEs, this time he won in straights against Davy with 47 UEs....
Don't think Fed is playing too great, but then again he's not even in third gear yet...
