Well, height has his advantages and disadvantages.Beeing around 1.85-1.9m is probably the perfect tennis height.Beeing a lot heigher means beeing slower from the baseline but having a big serve while having Ferrer`s height means beeing faster but no big power.

Ferrer just can't get Djokovic out of his comfort zone for a string of points.

Did Vijay Amritraj just say ****?

If so, it would be the most interesting thing in this match so far.

This feels like a heavyweight vs featherweight.

Yeah, because he needs to dope out of his mind to beat Ferrer.

Being short doesn't mean you have less power, it just limits how you can use it.

Is there anything that Ferrer can do? I get the feeling that even if he committed 0 Unforced Errors, Ferrer would lose this game in 3 sets. He doesn't have any weapons at all.

We saw glimpses of this form against Berdych, but just in patches. He has been imperious so far today, without much in the way of dips.

The only way Ferrer has a chance of winning is if he steps out of his comfort zone. And he never does this.

Ferrer looks like me at the end of a movement training session with my coach.

    Please. End this quickly.

Ferrer lacks the firepower as i said before the match!

Isner proved last year that if you can serve missiles for 3 sets with great bpunce and back it up with huge groundies then you can beat Djokovic

Playing against a Ferrer or against Federer/Murray is a completely different match.Against Ferrer,he is most on the offence, not really troubled by anything while against the other two he will have to deal with a different speed and pace.
For Djokovic it`s a bit similar to the Harrison match. When u don`t have to deal with big shots,it`s easier to play.

Ferrer does not care. He accepts his 4th or 5th place in the pecking order of tennis and he seems just fine with it.

It's what you get when you put Ferrer and Tipsarevic in one quarter. One boring SF. Don't get me wrong, Djokovic would probably have beaten anyone in this form, but Tsonga for example would at least make it interesting.

It's about time Nadal comes back, as hard as it may sound to Ferrer, he just doesn't deserve the 4th seed and Tipsy definitely doesn't deserve the 8th.

You need to put a pic of Isner with your posts, if you want to emulate NSK/Zilla/NadalWon

Sure but it's still an impressive performance and a good aggressive mindset from Novak, in some of his past matches with Ferrer, Novak was trying to grind him down instead of overpowering him like today.

considering djokovic becoming more offensive against ferrer..

i doubt if murray will be beaten with a similar coreline.. only if federer play his best game and serve aces now n then.. it might become a thriling five setter !!

I doubt murray causing any problem to this djoker
