Anybody got these? At least the lead tape config would be nice, to see how it fits his playstyle. I found it odd how he donned this racquet in the first place, since it's an easy racquet to get pushed around. (At least the KPro Tour was.)

He doesn't use that piece of crap. He supposedly uses the discontinued Wilson Hyper Pro Staff 95 18 X 20 with Big Bangas at 62 pounds.

He may not use it, but why would you call it a piece of crap, because he does not use it?

I use the "piece of crap". =)

However, may someone confirm this? Who knows; it may or may not be the actual thing.

Sorry. I have tested it and thought it was extremely unstable. VS Babs might be lurking around soon to verify Del Potros setup.

I am interested in the rackets as I thought that with the slightly thicker beam it would be more stable but I can only guess. I tried the kpro and didnt rate that. Have you tried the 95?

I held his racket in the US open string room before the final and it is a club.. Certainly a paintjob and had lead tape strips at 3 & 9. The guy stringing them said he was doing BBO at 66 lbs.

Alright, thanks for the input! However, doesn't he debut his racquet/pj in the AO, not the U.S. Open?

Yeah whatever. I can only go on what the official stringer in the US Open stringing room told me. He said it was BBO. Whether he said the wrong thing or he has changed since i really dont care. That is what i was told by someone with far more credibilty than 99% of the people on this board.

Maybe so but he must have said that by mistake as Delpo has been using alu power for the last few years. Easy to say the wrong thing

The PRo open blx is the one released right now. The pro open TOUR is going to be released a tad bit later and that is a different animal. The pro open is 16x19 and the pro open tour is 18x20.

Very true very true... whatever the string is the racket itself is a monster. I use an old bumblebee head radical and it swung considerably heavier than that.. and lead at 3 & 9 in about 6'' strips.. CLUB..

There was an interview at the WTF on the ATP Tennis site. In it, they disclosed that DelPo is using a full bed of ALU strung at a very high tension in a smaller frame. "It feels like a board" was the phrase I think.
