Hi i was thinking of buying a new racquet between the APDGT or the PURE Drive Rodick and i was thinking if i put power strings on the APDGT would it make it a more powerfull racquet and better for serving?

They're both rocket launchers -- why make 'em even more powerful ???

The PDR has substantially more power than does the APDGT.

Even with power strings you will not IMO equal the power of the PDR. On the flip side even with EXTRA spiny strings you will never equal the spin of the APDGT. Your gonna basically have to pick your poison.

IMHO, take the APDGT, add some lead at 3 and 9 for stabilization and a little more swingweight on your strokes, and you got one of the best all around rackets on tour. Massive power, and spin.

For me, it felt like the APD had a smaller sweetspot, and mis hits were always going into the net. PDRGT IMO.
