Are all Yonex head guards so thin?

I've just noticed how thin the head guard is on my RDS 003. Its not that old, but I'm already almost through the guard. This has never happened to me on any other mfg frame until 2-3 years into use since I don't drag frames that much.

Is this standard for this frame? Do I need to stock up on head guards or just use some tape?

    Thanks

My Yonex's are the same way, but I can get headguards for $2 or less, so I don't really care. Oh, by the way, the grommets crack easily as well.

The bumper guards and grips really seem to be below the standards of the rest of a Yonex racquet.

Good God, don't get me started on the grips, it took me an our and a ****load of goo gone to get all the glue off my two racquets.

Yeah I noticed on my 003 you can see the paint under some parts of the bumper guard. It is pretty thin.

That's good from my point of view. They don't want the bumperguard to compromise the balance. Bumperguards are very cheap. Just stock up if you can't play with anything else.
