Do any of the experts on fitness here know wether it's true that those kind of pullups are bad?

I used to do them just with my bodyweight, without weight plates or any of that stuff, never got any sort of anything.

But then again i'm just 19, so don't know if they're bad on the long run or something.

Yes. They can cause undue stress on your spinal cord and neck. You should only do it where it's in front of your chest. For example, you should just do a lat pull down machine and instead of pulling it down behind your back bring it down to your nipple line as if do bench presses, understand what I mean?

Yeah, but I do them on parallel bars, not with machines. Anyways, I'll best steer clear of them.

Yeah I understood what you said. I was suggesting a different exercise that works the same muscle group. :)

The only reason I tried them and actually did them in a routine (start with normal pullup, next behind the next, next normal and so on) was because I saw Rocky IV, and where he's training in the shed, he does those.

Just do lat pulls -- you can vary the position (neutral, wide, narrow) and safely work all the major and connector muscles.
