There really is no standard across, or even within, brands from my experience. Meaning some models of Adidas run wider or a bit longer than other models, same goes for Nike etc.

This is what I'm talking about. I wear size 11 US most of the time, my last shoes have been Prince and Adidas. I bought a pair of Nikes last year in size 11 and they are SMALL.

really weird, I have had nike tennis shoes and more casual shoes, always 9.5, whereas 10 in adidas, maybe it varies more in the US

    Varies from person to person

Yup, I'm a full UK size bigger in Adidas than Nike. (11.5 UK vs 10.5 UK)

In US sizes that is a 12 in adidas and an 11.5 in Nike (only a 1/2 sz difference)

Other people wear the same size in each, usually those with narrower feet (I'm a medium-wide width).

I usually go a 1/2 to full size up in Adidas depending on the model. I have found from trying on Nike sneakers I can wear my true size or 1/2 size up depending on the model. Sometimes within the same model I don't fit into identical sneakers. My guess...different plants, different standards.

I want to buy the barricade 8.5 (the green version) , the shoes that i'm using since 2010 are the nike zoom breathe 2k10. The size of the nike shoe is US 9.5 . I should buy US 9.5 US for the adidas shoe? or 10 US

In my experience, Nike is a slightly smaller fit than Adidas.

Well it also depends on what model of Nike shoe you are getting. I find that the Vapors fit more true to size compared to most other shoes that I wear, whereas the Lunarballistecs run a 1/2 size long.
