I am ready to buy the Nike Air Zoom Vapor Speeds 1.
Lleyton Hewitt, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal wore them at the Australian Open 2005.
I prefer the blue ones with white.
I would like to buy them because I find them so stylish and such a nice color.
    But are this good shoes?
What about durability, weight and comfort?
    Please let me know:D

i dont think those are the vapor 1's....if you see pictures of federer at the 2004 us open (or entire 2nd half of 2004), i believe the shoes he was wearing then are the vapor 1's

what hewitt's wearing in the picture are the vapor 2's...

Those are the Vapor 1's :). Same design with the air bubble and exact same design as the dark blue ones Fed wore at the US Open against Agassi.

I added a picture of Nadal wearing these shoes at the AO 2005, so you can see by yourself.;)
But what do you mean by pretty sick? Do they feel weird to wear?

Okay thanx Tour90. I also find the design awesome, there aren't much shoes at the moment which are better qua design i think, but that's my opinion. Also the color makes it look so nice i think. Too bad they're not so durable.

The Air Zoom Vapor Speed 1 is an OK shoe. I had the white with dark blue and yellow swoosh.
My foot is just a little bit wide, and they did not feel that great for the first few times I played in them. They need a good amount of "break-in" time, but after that they are OK.
If you have a bit of a wider foot, I would suggest the Air Max Breathe 3. It is a really great shoe. If feels like you are wearing a running shoe with all the stability of a good tennis shoe.

in terms of comfort, very nice...in terms of design, very stylish....

however in financial terms, VERY BAD!!! these shoes are so undurable that i cant bear to wear them on the courts anymore.... my pair has lost 2 percent of its sole after just 9 months usage.,..unless u play on clay or grass courts...then it should be fine....

u have to buy half or one size bigger as compared to ur usual Nike size cos these shoes fit tighter....

Huh? I would say that if your tennis shoes have only lost 2% of its sole after 9 months of usage then that would be the most incredible financial investment since the guy that bought Google stock at the IPO. Most people lose 90% of the sole of their tennis shoes after only 2 months of usage.

can i ask where u are ordering these?! i bought a pair of white ones at nordstrom for 40 bucks when they first came out but returned them cuz i was scared of durability and paid 60 bucks for some diadoras. that was such a stupid mistake.

Yeah i ordered them on e Bay.;)
They're hard to find, i searched the whole internet, there was only one site where i could buy the blue/white ones.
But they were like $200 or something:confused:
You could check e Bay sometimes and check if someone sells these shoes.
At the moment only the boys shoes, so size 37 and so are being sold i think.;)

I just received my Vapor Speeds i ordered a few days ago at the Bay:D
They are really comfortable and look great.
In the heel they are tight to medium size, midfoot and forefoot is generous fit.
    Exactly what i needed.
Also very good breathening through small holes in the shoe.

the light blue/white version was never sold in the US and is impossible to find new now. I found a pair with a large discount in a store in italy in august of '05, last pair they had, I was looking for that shoe my entire trip and luckily I found it. I beat those shoes up until I busted through the outsides(I have wide feet, probably a cause) of the shoes and my feet were getting wet more than normal, and they were small in the length, my feet grew quickly.

I did love these shoes, I will keep them, could someday be a collectors item.
