Really? Missed the Kohly match, from what I heard he was going for his shots but just not making as many. Kind of disappointing to hear, I like to watch balls-out tennis be rewarded. Still going to disagree with tank's assertion though :D

The forum wouldn't react. Only hypersensitive schmucks like you would have the 'sense' to pick out small things people say and make a big deal out of it. Honestly, grow up.

There's no way Federer would let a 100 ranked nobody beat him at his favorite tournament.

Actually a lot of us would have been just as happy if Murray won his first, and we've said it before the match too.

Maybe Rosol could have "missed" a couple of serves and hit ****'s water bottles:)

Haha I just noticed that now. Although I've heard players talk about it I've never seen someone actually avoid stepping on the line like this. Nadal is so crazy, even holding on to his neurotic habits after he's lost.

We would have had threads such as "How come the *******s didn't start 20 threads on Rosol kicking Rafa's preshus bottles but start threads when Rafa breaks rules" popping up everyday :D

I bet Federer was laughing not at Nadal, but at Rosols slugfest, go for broke, all or nothing play and his pulling it of. I could not help doing the same in the 5. set (did not see the match from the beginning).

This exact same thing happened to Federer in Shanghai Masters Cup 2007 in the round robin stage against Fernando Gonzales who went into full tear BOSS mode and hammered nuclear missiles and they were all landing in!
    Those forehands were ridiculous!

I think a highlight reel can support Fed's "laughing" remark: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRBRcoP2F38

The commentators were laughing, too. Not at Nadal, but at how insanely good this Rosol guy (who????) was playing

    Not Nadal, I assure you.

@Povl is right. Fed was NOT laughing at Nadal, as a lot of Nadfans have tried to make it.

Fed was celebrating that Nadal was out of his way. He made some crass comments as well in 2009 when Rafa lost RG early. The truth about Fed is that he never had an ounce of class. Completely media fabricated image that never had any truth to it.

He only needed a quarter of an ounce to be the most popular, have most fans and win a record 10 straight Fan Favorite awards.;-)

Not just media, but peer fabricated too. Not like the people around him know what they are talking about him, right? The fact that virtually all of his fellow players respect him says nothing. Or the testimonies of many fans, luminaries of the game and people involved in the game, the vast majority of which are brimming with praise. Or his humanitarian efforts, coolness on the court (for the most part), dedication to the game, and dedication to his wife and children.

Honestly, you talk about Federer the same way some people talk about Mike Tyson. He's done far, far more right than he has wrong, yet you fail to see any of that.

Do you honestly believe that gif is real? Do you really think Roger was staying awake at odd time in the night that too wearing suit and laughing at Rafa losing? He would have slept early as he had a match next day

    Ridiculous assumptions

Actually, no they don't. You read the latest interview by Hewitt which said that, and suddenly that translated to "most other players". Fact is, neither of us knows, however most players are very complimentary of him. Nevermind that he constantly wins the fan favourite and Stefan Edberg sportsmanship award (which is basically the players voting for who they like the most and nothing to do with sportsmanship). All of that shows that Federer at least manages to keep in the good books of the majority of people he interacts with. Not bad for a guy "with no ounce of class". You're as bad as the people constantly talking about Nadal's "silent ban".

No, I had heard other players (than Hewitt) say it. It was not the first time I heard it.

It's probably worth noting here that Edberg was also a keep-to-himself sort of guy off the court also for the most part.

I don't recall people assuming he thought he was too good to hang out with the others in the locker-room.

Indeed, and also Hood Man is correct. Also worth noting that Federer already has a family, ofcourse he is going to keep more to himself, some things are more important that others in life!

Ofcourse I don't know why I'm bothering to write these posts, they are just going to be ignored by those who hate anyway.

Federer is pretty accurate about 15 years ago when he debuted.
In fact, ATP was already started experimenting with surface/ balls to slow it down a bit in 1998. Not exactly as fast as early to mid 90s but still way faster condition than now.

Nothing tennis-related has ever gone past moderately viral, so sadly probably not.
