    I thoght about that a few days ago and I thinks it's a good idea... The better clay courters would meet later thus providing more interesting second week.

    Seems like very reasonable seeding adjustments. Although, given the randomness already built into the draw, functionally it's the same to be ranked 1-2, 3-4, 5-8, 9-16, or 17-32. Thus, the only players who would actually be affected would be James Blake and Albert Montanes. Still, I like the idea and really all slams should do it.

    idk why it isnt, all the slams are allowed to do it and its not like its hard, it seems like common sense that seeding for a clay court slam should put more weight on clay court results.

    i wouldnt even be opposed to the uso and ao using previous results specifically from previous uso and ao in the seeding equation, previous results do say a whole lot about future results from specific tournaments
