As a Federer Fan, What Would You Rather See

I was extreamely happy with Feds Frecn Open win and Wimbledon win and after him winning 15 slams. I actually don't wany fed to win any more slams. Even though im a *******, i prefer some new blood winning like Delpo. Maybe nadal to win a career slam. Djokovich realistickly has no chance they way he played the last two rounds.

I would rather see Federer lose to Nadal. Djokovic is not a very accomplished player so losing to him wouldn't look good for Roger.

To his credit he's the only player not named Federer or Nadal to have won a slam in the last 4+ years. Mono or no mono, a slam is a big accomplishment.

And what happens to Fed's career when he loses, once again?

GOAT label goes bye bye In my mind. It will be a tall order for Fed to be in the top 5 of all time I think if Nadal finishes his destruction of Fed at the USO.

Laver
Pancho
Rosewall
Budge
Pete
Borg

will all stand ahead of Roger.

As a fan of tennis, I'd rather see Nadal and Fed in the final. They are the best two players of this generation so why wouldn't any tennis fan want to see the best face off against each other?

In the event of a Nadal / Fed final, I'll be rooting for Fed, but if Nadal wins I'll still be happy for him.

But Borg quit right when Mac started beating him. He was headed towards a losing h2h against him.

Untrue.

Borg was an unusual champion in that he never followed the entire world-wide tour. He insisted on taking a four-month vacation, which embroiled him in a dispute with the men's tennis council in 1982. Borg was told he would have to enter the qualifying round for every major event that year because he refused to commit himself to playing the required number of tournaments. As a result, he took the year off and then announced his retirement in 1983, when he was only twenty-seven.

And why does he need to prove that when its already been done twice?
Can Nadal even make it to more than 15 consecutive semis? Can Nadal even dream of being as consistent as Fed is? So far-NOT.
So why should Fed prove everything there is to prove when Nadal gets a free pass for everything?

Yeah, people seem to forget that Federer HAS two Grand Slam finals wins over Nadal! And they both came at Wimbledon, the most prestigious Slam.

Also, Federer is trying to win 6 US Opens in a row. Apparently no male player has won ANY title 6 years in a row in the open era, let alone a Grand Slam.

Wimbledon, is no more important than any of the other majors. Besides, Nadal has beaten Roger in 5 out of 7 major finals. So Roger does have something to prove if he plays him in the finals.
