As a Federer Fanatic, I think loss to Monfils would be best option

As a Federer fanatic, I think if Federer is to lose, I would want him to lose to Monfils.

Monfils is at least an exciting player. Cilic makes Raonic look fascinating. And another loss to presumably Novak in a Grand Slam, especially the U.S. Open, would be beyond painful.

Cilic is playing very well. Fed would be honoured to get straight-setted by him.

That makes no sense; it would painful if he lost to someone else--someone who is not an established, majors winner. With Djokovic, he's the top player af the day, and has defeated Federer in the Wimbledon final, so its not only not painful, but expected.

i think that is the finals match-up you will see.

It would be the ideal option than to lose to FishyKori.

I don't think the Balkans would be able to handle a Djokovic-Cilic final.

Come on; Roger has game just now- so what if he loses hereafter? He'll still have made another Semi or Final + his match win record this year is the biggest number in the ATP. Is "house money" a negative slur? I'm not a conspiracy theorist.
