I was wondering if this would be a good combination for a hybrid?

    Mains: ashaway kevlar 57Lbs

    Crosses: Babolat VS 57lbs

I know the kevlar is very stiff but with combined with the VS strings shouldent that make it more comfortable?

i've never tried that specific combo, but i am a long time user of gamma power play 18 (braided kevlar) in the mains with a softer syn gut in the crosses...it plays GREAT! although, i've tried other kevlars (gamma infinity) and hated them...so i guess it's personal preference?

what gauge of kevlar are you thinking about using?

I use the Ashaway 17 gauge (kevlar) and just some synthetic gut that comes with the pack and its excellent. lots of pop and control and the kevlar does not break easily like luxullon. People say it will hurt your arm but i have yet to have that happen. I would definetley string up the Ashaway Kevlar with a simple syth gut.

I picked the 17 guage in the kevlar.

But i have never had arm troubles so i doubt it will affect me.
