I am thinking of switching to this service as it seems to offer a bit more for a little cheaper. Although they do not currently have the Tennis Channel which would be a problem, (I guess I would wait until they got it to make the switch). Here's a link AT&T site

Anyway, I am so tired of Time Warner. I was wondering if anyone has this service and what they think about it. I am also a little apprehensive about switching from cable to DSL internet... should I be? I had always heard that cable is better but what I do I know.

I actually had an install date set and then cancelled. The CSR that "sold" it to me either lied or didn't know the product they are selling. I was told that all TV's would have DVR and at this time they do not. That was a deal breaker for me.

I keep checking and they keep saying WHDVR will be available soon. They have been saying that for a year now.

Have you checked out the message boards at www.uverseusers.com ?

From a post on the U-Verse Forum:

The AT&T executive who is response for programming (and getting the Tennis Channel) is Chris Lauricella. His email is chris.lauricella@att.com. I would suggest that you and all those who want the Tennis Channel start an email campaign to him demanding that he add the Tennis Channel to the AT&T lineup.

I just confirmed with an AT&T employee who works for U-Verse that Mr. Lauricella is indeed in charge of programming decisions -- I'll be sending him a message soon, and I hope everyone else does the same.

I switched to DirecTV from Brighthouse this past summer. Getting tennis channel in HD now is definitely nice but the best thing is the grand slam coverage. They show 5 courts at a time with no commercials the first week which is fantastic.

Amazing... they are losing money hand over fist not including TTC. Hate to go with DTV over Uverse... but that's the way the cookie crumbles :)

    Agreed!

The DirecTV slam coverage is wonderful, usually 5 or 6 courts over most of the day! I spend my lunches in front of the TV during all the slams, and cue up plenty of evening matches too.

The sad thing is there's not enough time to watch all the stuff I can record.
