Barring an upset in the other semi, it's panning out to be a Ferrer-Wawrinka final which most of us suspected would be the case. Ferrer leads their H2H 7-3 and is 5-1 on clay including their most recent encounter in the final of 2013 Buenos Aires. So history is on Daveed's side but, then again, he's been a bit wonky lately so an in-the-zone Stan could have his chance to finally turn the tide and claim this one.

Can't wait to see how this one will pan out!

    Ferrer in straights.

Even playing wonky, which he is, Ferrer's one of the best clay players out there.

This is usually where Ferrer turns the match around and Wawrinka bottles a break lead in the third, I hope they didn't read the script.

And he almost got Djokovic too! Maybe he's finally started to get a bit of confidence at last when playing against the big boys.

Congrats to Stan on winning his 1st title in nearly 2 and a half years!

wow... very significant win over Ferrer. Stanislas has really elevated his game. Has become a tough competitor.

    LOVE it!

Time for Swiss no2 to enter the top 10?

More like Djokovic is next so they could well clash in the 3rd round in Madrid.

Final is finally coming on. Shocked the (small) stadium is only half full. Beautiful weather - much better than Munich.
