Who will win 5th Major?
No Fed option, so I go with Dimitrov of course. A bit less chocking and he can do it.
BRING IT!
now how the hell did you do that?
I do fancy Djokovic's chances. I would love to see Del Potro win, but I doubt he'll back up his great run in Indian Wells with another in Miami. I wouldn't mind seeing Murray win, either. It's been a while since he's won a Masters. I don't really see anyone outside of those three winning, but of course, anything can happen.
Novak's tanking so he'll be 110% when he faces Nadal on the clay. 8)
Clarky will love this!!!
Murray. Time to kick start a relatively slow start to his year.
Novak is the man to beat here going for 4 titles in Miami to go with 4 in Melbourne.
The comeback for John continues in Miami, I expect a good run here and to make some big gains in the rankings as he hardly has anything to defend from last year.
If only Del Potro had won IW he's be a top 4 seed at Miami. Now he could have to play Murray and Djokovic again (and will do for sure as long as they all make it that far - he'll be in either Murray or Djokovic's half so if they both make semis he'll play one and if the other one makes the final he'll play them)
But he'll probably lose early anyway.
Sorry, won't be enough because Nadal will be at 120%
Rafa will never be 100% EVER...again.
Bad knees BRAH!
Gulbis isn't playing, so I guess I'll go with Gasquet.
No sign of that today. Tendons recover 100% if you don't do surgery. It's the cartilage wear or bone deterioration that can be more permanent. Rafa may be entering his best year yet!
Who would ever not fancy his chances?
I felt a bit gutted for him that he couldn't pull it off in IW after going a set and a break up in the final. I always have fitness concerns for him though and wonder whether his fitness will hold up in a back to back Masters run.
The last time was 2011 Shanghai. I always feel it should have been 2012 Shanghai especially after he held 5 match points in the final. I still have to pinch myself that he didn't convert any of them!
It will depend how the top seeds do. If there are any unexpected early exits, then the draw will open for a possible first-time winner.
There is nothing serious wrong with his knees, sorry to tell you.
Gulbis has malaria? That sucks. Hopefully Gasquet makes use of his top 8 seed.
Really??? ****!!!!!! Didn't know that...
Malaria?? How the hell did he get that? Nadal must have given it to him in the second set
Voting for Gulbis since he's not playing!
zzzzzzzzz.....who cares? I want to see ALL of the top 4 playing. Any event that doesn't have all of the top 4 is not worth watching, period. That's why the USO and AO sucked.
Every event is supposed to be Djokovic, Nadal, Federer, Murray in the 4 brackets. That's how it must be!
Gulbis because he bought the whole tournament.
Another phenomenal gif lol
NOT. Novak sucks in Miami. he can't play in the wind
In Miami, Novak either loses 1st round or wins it, so we'll know pretty soon which one of the 2 it'll be!!
Woah...I have never seen you write a sentence without an exclamation mark until now. Maybe Isner will start winning now!
Deiton Buaghman. It's time. Junior forum would be on fire if it were still around. Btw, congrats Brad, and you too DB.
glad you admit it. The only reason Nadal loses the French is because of bad knees.
Was wondering when someone was gonna reference this in a post. Not sure how his dad pulled it off. I do think it's a bit premature, and I dont see it ending well tmrw, but, u never know.
woops. I googled "Gulbis Miami" and saw the headline "Gulbis withdraws with malaria"
I pay the price for assuming
Wow, Gulbis considered second most probable winner of a tournament he doesn´t even play. I guess he really is back then
And he's out, 2 and 4.
I'm going to troll and say Ryan Harrison...
I swear if he loses to James Blake, he will lose my respect.
I still can't believe Tsgona struggled against him..
Or Nicholas Almagro.
Woah I saw in the draw in that Bernard Tomic is going to play Andy Murray in the 2nd round!
Draw is out.
I'm hoping Dimitrov takes out Murray and makes a good run, then Delpo can knock out Djokovic in the semis and maybe have a Delpo-Tsonga final.
Not much chance but I can hope. If Muzza is still around by the semis though, I'll have to root for Djokovic over Delpo.
Blake Harrison gets star billing in rd 1. Fancy Blake to win. Tomic Murray rd 2 could be interesting I don't know if they have played already but the match up seems cool (both hard to like though). Slow courts should suit tomic.
Mark my words: Tomic vs. Dimitrov.
I couldn't argue with that. Tomic is due.
That is an interesting match (Tomic vs Murray) hopefully willbe some good matches to make up for Fed and Nads not taking part.
Solid showing getting 6 games off ATP 74. Nice work getting the WC as well. Was there a WC tourney? I'm sure there were lots of requests from guys who have an ATP ranking to get into quals.
Younger Harrison with a WC into Main draw vs Bellucci. I'd say he has a shot there.
You are obviously a new member who has not yet been introduced to the sacrosanct mysteries of TT's masochistic Cult Of Gulbis.
Become a COG or crawl in w'horeless despair.
All hail Earnests, He Who Lurks Beneath the Draws. Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Gulbis R'hyga wgah'nagl fhtagn.
OMG I laughed hard for like 5 minutes!! You're a ****** riot,Bob.
joker-delpo semi re-match if ferrer doesn't rebound...murray got his usual tough draw
Other than Ferrer in quarter, Delpo has a cakewalk draw. I'm looking forward to Djoko-Dolgo, Murray-Tomic and Murray-Dimitrov (What a draw for Murray!)
yeah, i think all the pressure here is on murray...will be watching him closely...at least he didn't get delpo too
Yes there is. He was limping during the trophy ceremony yesterday, and a reporter said he was walking down the steps after his photo shoot with the trophy like a toddler, one step at a time. He is also going back to the doctor when he gets home to have his knees looked at again. How anyone can think Nadal is not having knee trouble, especially after watching his movement lately, is just ignoring the obvious.
Limping after he played a match against Del Potro moving around like a beast for two hours? I don't believe the serious knee injury story, it makes no sense.
It will be a very boring tournament. I don't have the patience to sit through those grind fests unless Delpo makes a deep run. Djoker is the clear favorite though.
