I can feel Haas' adrenaline through the TV. For Djokovic's sake, I hope he slows down in the next few minutes.

Djokovic's footwork isn't that precise,he relies a lot on his reach, athleticism flexibility in his movement instead of small adjustment steps that players with really great footwork like Fed, Nadal, and Ferrer use. Same thing happened in the US Open semifinal last year against Ferrer, Ferrer had the better footwork and handled the conditions better.

Djokovic looks out of sorts and Haas is totally outplaying him. On the plus side, when Murray wins this event easily, him eing number 2 and Fed being number 3 will mean that when nadal gets back to number 4, Fed cannot play him in the semis. It would be Murray/Fed and Djoko/Nadal or Djoko/Fedand Murray/Nadal. At RG maybe Fed could draw Murray, beat him then take on the knackered winner of Nadal/Djokovic...

I feel like haas needs a double break in this set. If he lets nole hang about , he could get in trouble

    LOL, yeah.

Sid, why does Novak struggle so much in windy conditions?

Tommy Haas has had to take an extended break from tennis or end his season early SEVEN TIMES in his career. He has returned to the top 20 on five separate occasions after this, and returned to the top 10 once five years after his first interruption. That was six years ago. He got into the top 20 again last year.

    No trolls here.

Those are FORCED errors. Haas's variety and creativity and change of pace and spins and moving Djokovic all over the court and playing great from all areas of the court is forcing those errors from Djokovic.

RG folks would never draw Nadal/Djokovic in the same half. They will make sure that Djoker is placed in Fed's half.

My thoughts exactly! Haas needs this done quickly otherwise he is going to cool off and also allow Novak the chance to buy himself time to find form!

Isn't Tommy Haas from a weak 2002 era?

Gotta say, it's nice to see Haas zoning like this, just wish it wasn't at Novak's expense and that he's more up to the task today.

It's not windy. It is cold though. It was very windy on Sunday. The SHB lives.

I really don't know if we're watching the same match here. Yeah Haas is playing good, but nothing extraordinary, for his standards. Djokovic is absolute sh1t, I can't believe my eyes. I don't recall him playing this bad, although the US Open 2012 final was bad as well. I guess he really can't handle wind.

And I really really want Haas to win this, but this is just an honest comment

Yes, Djokovic smashing sitters into the net or missing shots 20 ft off the baseline are "forced" errors

Djokovic rushing his tank job at this point. Guy just lost interest after the second break in set one.

I'm disappointed in all the excuses from Djokovic fans. Haas is just dominating the match in every aspect.

Providing Djokovic holds serve, this long game really benefits him. It allows the adrenaline of Haas to come down and gets Dork back into the match.

Novak is just playing terrible at the moment.

Why? Novak could be double bageled by 55 year old McEnroe coming out of retirement and she still wouldn't change her tune.

I agree with President in that Novak's footwork is not as crisp as someone like Nadal when playing in the wind, but I think its the confidence issue too. I mean he does not swing through fully on his strokes. Especially on his forehand, he does this really weird over-the-head finish that does not look clean or natural. It seems like he is forcing himself to get the ball into the court.

Considering his usual level, Djokovic must be the most horrible wind player of all time (MHWPOAT).

If Djokovic starts playing well or Haas slips up,I can easily see Djokovic winning the set and eventually match, but if he goes down a double break, it's over
