At the risk of kicking a man when he's down.....

Bob is the archetypal glory hunter. You didn't see him on here before Nole's super 2011 and you never see him here after Nole loses.

Do I get credit for always posting here whether John wins or loses! Rough loss this week v Cilic but the Croat is in superb form!

You do from me - it's called having some class. Kudos to you.

Cillic is playing well - I think he has a decent chance tomorrow, despite the H2H - although Murray probably played the best he's played since the AO in his match against Seppi.

So far so good. Let’s see what the wind has in store for Ferrer today.

    Thanks mate :)

I think it can be a close match it's obviously a good match up for Murray as head to head shows 7-1 but they have had some great matches in the past I kind of feel Murray's comeback against Cilic at the Open really kickstarted his tournament and gave him a real sense he could win from any position, who knows it may have helped in the final when Novak came back and made it 2 sets all Murray still was not to be denied!

Does anybody else notice that Ferrer is just crushing the ball on his forehand? He's going for a lot more than he normally does.

That's because the author of that article failed 1st grade arithmetic. He said it hasn't happened in 30 years but then said it happened in 1973! Um...that would be 40 years ago!

Melzer on fire! Dude is fun to watch when he's on, so much variety and a killing forehand. Takes the ball nice and early too.

This. Only reason Melzer is even in the set is because Ferrer is playing bad.

For Haas this would be a very good draw if Melzer finishes this and he beats Simon later!

You do know Melzer has been in the top 10 and made the SFs of the French Open in 2010, right? Beating Djokovic in a 5 setter on the way?

Jurgen Melzer made the SF of Monte Carlo 2011 (lost to David Ferrer in the SF after beating roger federer in the QF in STRAIGHT sets). :p

Is anyone else glad to see Melzer doing better at a tournament again? It's been a good year or so since I've seen him go deep in a tourny but I like his style of play, clean forehand and back....

I think I did hear the announcers say that this was Melzer's first QF in a Masters but I checked on Wikipedia and it says indeed that Melzer has made the SF in MC 2011. Don't know which side is wrong though

Genau, die gute deutsche Effizienz - to my delight. ;) Sadly, Kohlschreiber is mugging around a bit atm.

I still want Murray to win the title, but I would be genuinely happy for Tommy as well. He still has a tough road ahead of him, to even get to the final though. I think Ferrer will probably get through from that half. I also feel that Murray could very well lose to either Cilic or Berdych. His form hasn't been too convincing so far and Berdych is generally a bad match-up for him, probably the worst in the top 10.

Melzer played Ferrer in MC 2011. Maybe they meant first hard court semi?
