Ferrero beat Hrbaty after losing the 1st set and he almost wasted a 5-2 lead in the 3rd but saved 2 breakpoints at 5-4 to win 6-4 in the end.
Almagro beat Henman 7-5 6-1 so Federer will start against Almagro.
    Nadal/Moyá beat Federer/Wawrinka 6-4 7-6 (5 ).
Hewitt took the 1st set against Hernández 6-3.

Acasuso is 6-3, 4-4 against Verkerk....
The important thing is: He's serving at a 96% first serves!!! (He's winning only 71% of them, but he does have 7 aces and no DF)

Hewitt is ALSO 6-3, 4-4 against Hernandez.

Acasuso wins 6-3, 7-5, putting in play 97% of his 1st serves, and only missing that first serve twice!

Oh, boy Federer got dominated again by Nadal, now in doubles, you guys may think it is just doubles, but all this is slowly chipping away at the confidence that fed doesn't have already. Now the confidence level of federer is at a shattering level. Now only chance fed has that pact i was talking about with nadal to trade 1 slam each.

Why is the crowd so sparse?

Even workaholic Americans give better showings on a weekday during a huge, historic tournament like this.

    Maybe it's the weird weather.

After the rain, tennis is back! We got an unexpected night session:

Hernandez is leading Hewitt 3-0 in the 3rd set.

    Murray-Simon just started the 3rd.

    Cañas-Melzer are about to start.

4-0, actually. But Hewitt won 4 points in a row to be Adv (he was 0-40 with his serve)

I couldn't help it to be honest because posters who start flaming and cursing because they disagree with someone's opinion are to be ignored and not respected at all.

The pact you said sounds neat but they would never do something like that as it is not 100% sure that they will meet at the RG and the Wimbledon final altogether. That would suit Federer more than Nadal as RG is first up :D

You'll be buying a lot of cocktails tomorrow then so start saving

The quality on Star Sports (10006 on TVU Player) is much better than the Tennis Channel. Murray is down 0-4 in the 3rd.

Ayayayyy... 15 double faults... and that one costed him the match.

It is, but not all the time. I can make different things on the computer besides watching tennis.
Murray lost 6-3 in the 3rd so Hewitt and Murray are out.
Cañas started with a break but Melzer broke back: 3-3.

Cañas saved 3 set points, it´s 5-5 now. Cañas breaks and serves for the set: 6-5. He is "Willy balls" for a reason. And he saves another break point to take the 1st set 7-5.

The stats of the Karlovic vs Massu match on the live score of the Rome MS are a bit strange. The result is 7-6(2) 6-7(5) 6-7(0) and both players have 100% 1st serve percentage which means that they never missed a 1st serve in the whole match
Is that even possible in a match with 3 tie breakes?

Nadal is the definite favorite. I would like Canas to win the whole thing, but Nadal is an unstoppable force and Federer is no longer his kryptonite.

Rafa and Roger will be in the finals...and Nadal will win in straights.

i agree with grif. Almagro can certainly play on clay but fed is 3-0 against him and wont exit out this early, even though i would love to see it.

Does anybody think that either Mardy Fish or Roddick will beat Gaudio? We're approaching the 3 year anniversery of this guy's FO title which would normally mean that he is a lock to beat either of these dudes on clay. But we're talking about Gaston Gaudio.
