First early round exit since August for Ferrer.

So of course it had to come after knocking me out of Australia.

Gulbis has indeed pulled out, so you did well to replace your pick while you could...

    Day 2 : Berdych.

And if I'm already too late, Söderling.

when I looked again, I saw that soderling was already 40-15 in the first game, so if that pick was late, I'll have to pick berdych b/c I think that's the last singles match of the day.

Watson: Just checking that you really meant Monfils, I don't think he's in Rotterdam for this one...?

It's always risky to pick one countryman to beat another. I have no idea why, but I learned that little lesson when Querry lost to Ginepri at the FO.

So why did I pick Simon? : sigh :

For those who haven't picked, only 3 matches haven't started yet:

    Cilic - Melzer
    Baghdatis - Murray
    Nieminen - Troicki

I should have listened to my second thought which was always saying to go with Youzny.

Yep, but that's OK. Simon is always a decent pick. It's not like he is a completely unreliable headcase. I'm lookin' at you, Gul-Monf-asco.

Heh well if I didn't crash out with Ferrer I probably would have picked Simon the next day anyways, so this one was never going to work out well for me (or most of us it looks like...)

Doing a tournament almost every week is definitely too much and Memphis is as dull as it gets, so resuming in Dubai seems like a good idea. I think it was also inlcuded in the original calendar.
