Will Monfils play? I read that he injured himself again against Simon.

Monfils to take this with ease. Murray always loses in the first round of the first tournament he plays after a disappointing slam exit.

I guess you are still in denial of Murray US Open win! It doesn't make sense that a defensive pusher like Murray can beat aggresive players like Berdych and Djokovic to win a slam.

Totally agree. Murray definitely should have won the USO in 4 sets, not 5. Very disappointing. But he might manage to take a set off Gael. What do you think?

But there's no 'defensive pusher' quite like Murray, is there?

Monfils has been playing well. Would not be surprised if he eeked out a first set, or picked up a second set after losing the first.

Don't see Murray losing this though, the USO champ is not going to lose to Monfils in the opening round.

Murray couldn't win a set in his first three slam finals.

Only won one in the fourth.

And lost two sets winning the fifth.

    Bloody useless loser.

Dr. Ivo will give a great match. Murray will be bit rusty and dr. Ivo is playing really well right now so this could be a 7-6 7-6 victory for Ivo.

Maybe not that well. After all he got bagelled by Davydenko in the 3rd set of their match in Metz last week. If he's to win matches, he probably needs to get it done in 2 as he seems to have no energy left for a 3rd set these days. Maybe his age is finally catching up with him. At 34, he's probably the oldest guy on tour right now.
