He's in the finals of both singles and doubles.

Does anyone know the names of past players that have won Kalamazoo in back to back years?

First of all, congratulations on the finals in both singles/doubles. I saw Granitechief post in one of the junior focused threads in the GPP forum, had no idea. Good luck in the singles tomorrow!

Who won? I haven't seen the results of the bottom half semi.

I'm guessing Rubin? It was between Rubin and Mmoh in the bottom semi

Yeah, it was Rubin who pulled off the twin titles in singles and dubs (w. Kozlov).

Interesting that both Noah and Colin are headed to the ACC for college...Rubin to Wake Forest and Altamirano to powerhouse UVa.

Fun match, serve was off, Rubin was solid.

Headed to US Open quals. In the long run it could be better than being taken out by a seed in the 1st round of main. Making the best of it. Very proud!

Much better all the way around. Didn't really put it all together at the zoo finals, but hopefully he can at Flushing next week.

If anyone else is going to the quals let me know!

My boy plays ATP 170 Luca Vanni in 1st round of us open Q's. Mackie or Berankis for the winner. Let's go Collin!

Best of luck to him. Hopefully he can take the first match and roll on to the main draw like last year!

Pretty surreal having my first credential and shuttling, dining, sharing practice court, etc., with the pros here at the US Open. Just entered the players area behind Sorana and Anna (not a bad place to be) with Grigor not far behind. Just trying not to appear to excited and acting like it's no big deal which is hard for a rabid tennis fan.

Anyway, about to warm up my player for 11am match, 1st round Q, vs ATP 170. Here we go, time to throw down!

Have fun Granite and good luck to little Granite. And best wishes at UVA (my old neck of the woods)-he'll love C-Ville.

Congratulations to granitechief jr on the win. Did not get to see the match but the scoreline looked convincing, sure there's more to come from him.

Nice tidy win for the youngster, 6-4,6-2. Berankis up a break in the first. Anyone know if the qualies are being streamed?

Someone posted CBS Sports Network had 8 hours of coverage scheduled for day 1.

We need to follow Collin over in PMR. I added a post to the day 1 qualie thread started yesterday.

Nice that he got a set off a guy as good as Berankis. Good showing.
