    Just curious, many other australians hang out here?

    I'm from brisbane in sunny Qld.

    Seems to be a great international community!

    I'm not, but I know auzzieizm lives near Sydney. You can usually find him in the Tennis Warehouse Mid-Atlantic Chapter thread (because he originally lived in Virginia).

    On a side note, I always wanted to visit Australia. 13 years ago I got the chance through work. Where did I go? Beautiful, scenic...Alice Springs.

    My God, who thought to put a town in the middle of nowhere? I believe I saw a road sign that said:

    <-- Darwin 1500KM
    --> Adelaide 1500KM

    Apparently you are considered a local if you get to see the Todd River flow. I guess it happens once every 3 years...

    I'm from Sydney too! Well, I'm living in the Philippines at the moment but I go home every year or so...where I'm from (Ryde Area) we got plenty of courts that are almost always fully booked every time we try to play tennis!

    I'm an American but lived in Europe and Asia for the majority of my youth following my dad from Army base to base. As a result, I met many people from other countries and cultures but never had as much camaraderie as I shared with Aussies I met in Earl's Court, London (affectionately dubbed "Kangaroo Court") while studying there. I wish I could have followed some of those blokes and sheilas home to enjoy their native surroundings. They were really "my mates"!

    I'm in Sydney and play in the city ~5 days per week. If anyone would like to meet up, let me know!

    uhmm let me rephrase that, tennis is popular but not as popular as football

    football here is massive amongst the bumpkins because it's cheaper in a sense and "easier" to play. courts are empty on weekdays but fully booked on weekends. I'm different cause i'd like to have a hit whenever i can :twisted:

    I'm from Melbourne. I have the beautiful luxury to watch the Australian Open annually. Only an hour train ride to Rod Laver Arena.
