As a sidenote, I cannot believe ESPN is showing a replay of a Serena Williams match when I could be watching the antics of Monfils.

A LOLmatch is the best description. And it's getting even funnier. Now Monfils has some probems with his right hand? This is getting funnier every minute.

You know how Monfils was blasting aces and hitting ridiculous winners in the previous matches? Now he's floating serves in and pushing every ball back.

Also, Simon is just float serves in because of an apparent leg injury. But Monfils is content with just tapping the ball back.

Overall, this match has been a big:

By the way, weren't they going to enforce the time rules?

Simon is having leg problems, Monfils has painful blisters on his racket hand and trying to massage it between each point, at which point Simon goes over to the bench to blow his nose.

This is starting to become like a Charlie Chaplain routine.

Soo.. what's Monfils doing here exactly? This is more stupid than him tanking that 3rd set against Lu. I can't tell if Monfils is slicing his forehand because of the pain or if he's just exaggerating, being the clown that he is. Every match he plays is a disgrace to tennis. What an idiot.

Haha, lighten up. This match has NOTHING to do with tennis, but it's still great fun. At least if you like to watch to painted walls and watch which one's dry first.

They're both in pain and playing horribly, but this is quite fascinating to watch. Trainer having to see both men at the changeover and both men now have a MTO. I have a feeling that Monfils is going to clown his way through this match and frankly I don't mind :) Go le monf!

I think Monfils is a bit overexaggerating. Obviously, blisters aren't fun and they do hinder the tennis you play, but not in that way...
Simon isn't complaining and clowning, while he is actually having cramps, which is worse IMO.

I predict a boring match until Simon gives up.

Don't know why but seeing Monfils casually sipping on his coca-cola after all this made me burst out laughing, can't look away from this match.

Thought the same, Murrays cake draw gets easier with every minute this match goes on. It's just unbelievable how unbalanced the draw is in this year.

Maybe ESPN is smart and decided to not put this train-wreck on its national coverage.

I mean, they took one in the jugular with that Kvitova/Robson match, you can't follow that up with another train-wreck.

Even though I agree, I am loving Roger's draw. I'm a huge Federer fan, and I want him to win the tournament badly, but the anticipation for his 2nd and 3rd and now 4rd round matches is much bigger and I'm loving it. With an easy draw, he could still lose to Murray in the semis and it'd be a bad/boring tournament. Now it's a great tournament to watch, even if he loses to Raonic.

This is one of the weirdest matches I've ever seen. The commentators being bewildered at the players' play is pretty hilarious.
