I have a feeling Murray will end up on Djokovic's side of the draw. But I've been wrong before.

    Federer v Ferrer
    Murray v Djokovic

Federer/Berdych QF - Federer gets knocked out and so does Ferrer.

It's normally live via the AO Website - tomorrow @ 0000 GMT.

One of the top 2 could draw the following seeds:

    R3 Janowicz
    R4 Raonic
    QF Berdych
    SF Murray

Now that is a sore one!

Djokovic can take him. If fed gets him, however, buh bye...

Roger is always unlucky in this matter. When Roger and Rafa were 1 & 2, Djokovic always fell in Roger's half - now that Djokovic is on the other side, I'm sure Murray will fall in Roger's half.

Nope...Ferrer will get mauled on this court by Fed. This court's right up Roger's alley.

It's actually one hour earlier I believe. 11PM GMT. Melbourne should have DST while UK doesn't. This makes a 11 hour difference.

All hell will break loose here if Murray is in Fed's half. Alas, I fear it will happen...

At the US Open Fed was 1 and drew Murray, so why would it be different if Djoker now 1 drew Murray.

Because AO traditionally, unlike the other 3 slams, has gone for the more logical 1v4 2v3.

1v3 2v4 never made any sense to me personally. Why is the #2 ranked player rewarded, by getting to face #4, whereas the #1 ranked player has to put up with a harder semi

You do? And here I thought that the only thing you're afraid of is the Basalt bogeyman winning another slam.

If Fed can avoid Berdych and Murray lands on Nole's side, it's slam #18 in the bag.

If Fed doesn't draw Berdych, then he'll get del Potro. He could be problematic for him as well.

They don't place them, they are drawn, even though you are right, they should place them, 2 shouldn't have it easier than 1, but they don't place them, so 2 could have an easier draw, and look at the US Open, Djoker's draw was much easier with his semi being the winner of Tipsy/Ferrer, what a joke.

Because the seedings are based on the rankings as at the last Monday before the start of the slam.

If Murray is in Federer's draw, it will be a Djokovic-Murray final. I think Murray will lose this time though.

If Murray ends up on Federer's side of the draw, Djokovic has this. If not, we have an interesting tournament.

Plus, less chance of an injury like Isner's screwing things up.

For myself and the tournament it would be better if Murray is in Novak's half. That would give them all a good shot I think, whereas Fed has a lot less of a chance if he's with Murray. Hoping for:

    Djokovic
    Del Potro
    Murray
    Berdych
    Ferrer
    Tsonga
    Tipsarevic
    Federer

With Monaco with Tipsarevic and Wawrinka with Federer ;) In the Round of 32, I'd probably pick Melzer.

Are you saying you are sure Federer would beat the winner of the Djokovic/Murray semi-final? Crazy. 5-setters don't bother Djokovic/Murray. 5-setters bother Federer however.

He'd rather, but he's more than capable of doing the 5 sets regularly. His FO title was filled with such matches. Granted, 3 and half years ago, but he's never had issues with playing in the heat either.

He's not my god, and I specifically stated that though I think it's good for the tournament if Djoko draws Murray (BECAUSE Fed is not the best anymore), it is also for my own sake (indeed, I want Fed to win, no secret there) that I want this draw. Also, I like the matchups I stated, which are all competitive, except for Federer's draw, which I never make a secret of that I want that one as easy as possible.

Doesn't mean it can't change. Federer's getting older and had a terrible run at his last grand slam (terrible by Federer's standards). Murray could pick off a vulnerable Federer in the SF round, why not? Murray is also hitting his peak, while Federer is starting to decline.
