Raonic is not allowed to show his game coz roger is pouncing on him like he'll

I seriously feel kolschreiber could have made the 4th round.. That would have been better

I was a bit scared that Big Serving Guy #92341 would TB his way through, but it looks like Roger's not going to let that happen. 4 unforced errors for the match so far?

Well done Fed, but this match is putting me to sleep, and I think I will listen to its advice. Good night y'all.

Because he doesn't face Fed's caliber of player (top 5) in every round who can utterly expose his movement, make very few errors from the baseline and return his serve well.

So is this a new trend for Federer? Put on the compression shirt after he has his opponents by the balls?

Yeah, as much as Milos is a mug, he'd still be in a good position against many guys. Fed has been awesome tonight.

I think, this first 4 rounds was the toughest one Federer has ever had on a GS at the same path, but look at outcome. Not losing a set, not even playing a bad set.

IMO, Federer is in form than anyother player rgiht now.

Isner is a confidence player he would have sustained the leve lof serving and then transferred the confidence to his return game! he was almost unplayable of serve and return in the 4th set at Davis Cup last year when he beat Federer!

Agreed. Also Federer's unforced error count is incredibly low tonight, should be interesting to see how he plays in the next couple of matches.

Yup, and Raonic's forehand is a big weapon against most players, but Federer reads it without any trouble.

Don't worry, they'll slow down the courts for the semis and that form will wane.

Raonic sucks big time and Fed barely gifts him anything. That combination means routine win.

The two matches Roger lost to Novak in AO in 2008 and 2011 had close sets. I mean it could have gone either way. I have hopes when Roger plays Djokovic. I am not saying Roger will beat Murray for sure. Lot of people talked as if Roger has absolutely no chance against Djokovic.

I also hate to say this, but feelings mutual. I too felt that he looked sharp and he has a real good chance to...

I don't believe in jinxes but yeah I agree, Tsonga could be a big test though we'll see.

He does have a tough draw but he navigated well through it so far, didn't lose a lot of energy.

He looks very focused and pumped up so far in this tournament. Also the commentators here are talking about how they made the courts a little faster this year after last year's final between Nadal and Djokovic. That could help Federer a little as well.

Raonic would not beat a club player without his serve. The next Karlo has arrived.

He is in fine form, but do you remember what Andy Roddick said about Isner? he literally takes the racket out of your hand and a top player can be playing well and stil lose to him! Roddick had just made the final of WImby beaten Murray and almost taken out Fed only to lose to Isner in 5 sets the big mans serve and forehand combo just proved too much!

Roger looking to me the way he did during Wimbledon.

When he beat murray and djoker, he was moving like a demon and pummeling the cc bh.

The only time Fed has made an error is really when going for a winner.

Federer would struggle to take a set from Murray, if he even makes it past Tsonga. He's just lucky his opponents so far have no self-believe.

Raonic's return of serve is his biggest liability, aside from volleys and movement.

I actually think Tsonga is going to be a big test. So gotta get through that first.

Again though, haven't had much chance to watch him play, can anybody else tell me how he has been playing?

Our presenters here had made this match sound so tough for Roger. Thanks Vijay.

Anyway, i think the Tsonga match will be tough, haven;t seen Jo playing though.

It WAS tough, Fed just proved up to the task.

I was actually fearful of tomic and raonic .

never dreamed he would straight set them, and beat raonic the easiest of the two.

It's not just about reading his FH but being able to get it back with interest once you get to the ball, it's one underrated aspect of both Fed and Nadal, how good their hands are in defense, they don't just get big shots back but they also very often put the opponent in uncomfortable position from defense.

Serena & Fed both lay down the beatdown tonight. Aussie ticket holders find themselves witnessing a double clinic.

And not to take anything away from Milos' mediocrity tonight, but Fed is basically GOATing this match. Easier to do against an opponent who's not pushing you outside of his serve, but still.

Anyway, good night for reals, yo.

On paper they were all tough, in reality and on the day none of them came anywhere close to the form their rep stated. Tomic the possible exception but federer was playing superb then.

This is where it gets hard for federer now, Tsonga is far from easy and he's been looking good from what iv seen and then if he gets to the semi he has murray waiting for him.

The true test for federer starts now.

He looks a lot more focused than I have seen him in a while at a slam (aside from Wimbledon.) I think Djokovic and Murray are still the favorites but Roger is looking good to me, you can't count him out for sure. He still looks hungry remarkably, hard to believe.

Federer is playing at a similar level to his Wimbledon 2012 final standard.
Murray will have to be at the top of his game to stop that.

I don't think Tsonga will be a big test if Roger can play the way he has so far. Roger's tests will be Murray and Djokovic imo.
