It's a Babolat AeroPro Drive Racquet from *b*y. Bid is around 74.99. The seller has a pretty good feedback. He told me that it was originally bought from a tennis club. Here's a picture

I demoed this racquet from TW and took pictures of it so I could compare with the one I'm biding. This looks legitimate but if you can notice something I can't then let me know.

Auction ends in about 4 hours so if you wanna jump on it go ahead, lol. I'll just go buy a new one from here. I'll give you the item number, if you want. It was rarely used.

Two descriptions that I am concerned of is the balance, the seller said it was 7pt head heavy. Could this be due to lead tape/customization? The strung weight said 10.6oz but isnt that weight unstrung? Everything else matched up, 16 x 19 string pattern, 100 sq in head, and 27in length.

Looks fine. Another clue is that it has lead tape and hybrid stringing, if its a fake people don't bother to do this unless they don't know. That idea isn't full proof however helpful. I think its a good one though, and I have 4 so I have some experience.

be really careful if its a 4 1/4 grip. 99% of those grip sizes are fakes.

what is the recommended string combo on the inside of the throat?

Nvm. Yeh richie is right the one dat i got was 4-1/4. And 4-3/8 is the same thing as a 1/4 size. SO yeah. Be really careful. But it looks real to me. B/c of the bag dat is show. It has 2 straps. and is kinda thick strap and da 1 dat i got was a thin one so yah just be really careful b/c of the grip size

isnt 99% a bit too much exaggeration? i mean...there are a lot of people who use 4 1/4 gripsize....but nevertheless, i would definitely be a bit suspicious if it was 4 1/4 gripsize..

The grip is 4 3/8. I've read about how most fakes are usually 4 1/4 and come from China. This product's located in FL, USA.

Bidding almost done, just less than an hour left.

Well I'm no expert so I'd leave whether or not it's authentic to the others, but from the looks of the grommet and the paint chips it's definitely not "rarely used" like the seller claims.

Although, the fact that it is used should prove the racket to be authetic, because who would actually use a fake racket, knowing that it's no better than a $10 from wal-mart?

yeah. the babolat aeropro's should be 5 points head light. if it's 7 points head heavy like you said. i'd be cautious, but there does seem to be lead tape on the racquet, but i really doubt that there's enough there to make that much of a difference. (unless there's hidden inside the grommets)
eitherway, good luck, i hope it's authentic. Try asking the seller about the balance discrepancy, there might be a good explanation.

the fact that it's from Florida doesn't mean anything. as others have said - he could just be passing it on. if it HH balance i'd stay away and keep your money. there will always be another chance to buy a similar racquet that you can be 100% sure is the real deal

an exaggeration maybe (not by much though) but anything on the bay with 4 1/4 grip size and a babolat racquet is risky.

Can't tell closely but you can see the part of the X for the Xcel strings on the left and then part of PRO for Pro Hurricanes on the right.

I'm going to compare the pics that I took with the TW demo with the one on ****.

i think that is the string combo on the real racquets. fake ones have conquest or something like that instead.

I have won but will not pay for the item, the seller seems like they do not know a lot about the racquet-couldn't tell me why the balance is at 7pts heavy. Some one also asked about strings, tension, and shipping to Canada but the seller only provided information on shipping. Besides actually winning, the worse part isthat the seller says all sales are final. So if in fact it's a knockoff, I'm stuck with it.

This was the first time I have used **** and will be the last. Thanks for the insight guys.

  29. I have 2 Babolat AeroPro Drives in 3/8 that are in immaculate condition selling in the classifieds.
I bought them from TW and have the receipt.
Why people mess around with E*ay, I dunno.
I guess a bargain is a bargain, but I can promise a pair of
matched frames and some nice Luxilon or Babolat strings.
But everyone that has inquired has given me some crazy lowball
price. I am just going to keep them in the closet until somebody
realized what a bargain they are getting.
Also selling a standard Pure Drive and 12 pack AeroPro bag.
    At least, trying to sell.

Poor me.... have all of these nice racquets, but nobody from TW messageboards wants them. I have offered to include strings, overgrips, dampeners... all kinds of goodies to sweeten the deal. But no dice! I put up pictures and answered all questions. I have sold racquets before here, but I guess December is not good for 9.89+/10 condition racquets. Everyone just wants new ones under the tree or waiting for a new model in the spring.
The misses is gettin pretty upset with all the closet space I am taking up with Babolats!!!!
