    One of the major racquet companies should hire this guy as VP of racquet development, ASAP. He clearly knows what he's talking about, and racquet companies clearly don't. Or to put it another way, he clearly cares about making people better players, and racquet companies clearly care about making the most money off players.

    Tom Avery's Consistent Tennis series is really worth watching and his racquets are probably very good. His text is borrowed from the Racquet Research site, but he does have a point. I hurt my arm using a light racquet. I grew up using the 13-14 wood, metal, or composite racquets strung primarily with gut. Using a stiff racquet with synthetic gut just killed my arm. I am returning to a 12+ ounce racquet. If Avery let you demo, I might consider. I am looking at the Pro Kennex line with the Core 1 No. 6 or the 5K PSE as the prime contenders.
