    OK,

What female Pro do you think was instrimental in introducing the "two handed backhand?"

NO! You may not use Google or any other search engine. Any idiot can do that. I want you to think!

    See what you know.

    Evert of course. Duh!

She may not have been the very first two-hander but she is the one prominent (top) player who started it and then it was Monica Seles who finally made it mainstream.

Clearly Chris Evert, she was the one who really popularised the trend.

Viv MacGrath? He was the male originator of the 2hbh I think. No idea for the ladies.

Um, why Austin over Evert? Austin came in almost 10 years after Evert, didn't she?

Exactly Evert was using the 2 Handed Back Handed before Austin even hit the Tennis Court, she used it, she modernized it. Austin came after and in some ways tried to copy the Evert style...Evert was the instrumental one.

I'd argue Evert popularized that shot even more than Connors or Borg. Evert made the USO SF at 14. It was her technique that instructors pushed on beginners more so than Connors.

Austin did well with it considering her career basically ended at 18. Jaeger could have been the next "big thing" at that time but didn't for whatever reasons (immaturity, tanking, etc.).

Pre-1993 Seles took it to another level with insane angles and pace. I think most of the WTA players with 2HBH look at Seles' backhand as the standard, with Serena's to a lesser extent.

Tracy Austin started playing in the early 60's.

Evert was probably 9 or 10 years old then.

    No relation to Steve Austin.
