Cool, a Babolat racquet that lets you break your arm AND tell you why you're doing it!

Wow, I was just throwing around ideas a couple of weeks ago, wondering when we would have racquets that would tell us how often we hit the sweet spot, where we hit the ball on the stringbed, etc.

I want a racquet that measures my racquet head speed.

great a robot racket. Soon we will be having mechanical sticks that run on momentum based movement like in watches.

Did I hear momentum based? ProKennex came out with a racquet years ago that shifted mass as you swung-- the name escapes me at the moment but it's on the forums somewhere

Hopefully the system could track all the shock and vibration transmitted to the arm and show how the PDs and APDs are ruining people's elbows. :)

This sounds awesome and like something the other major brands will try as well. If they do measure your head speed, than in theory it would be possibe to average out your racquet head speed and pick the proper weight specs to match your game. So a lot of the guessing of what specs are best could eliminated.

I am hoping that is how it works at least.

Pro Kennex rackets don't "shift" mass. They have a kinetic mass inside them, but shifting it makes a racket illegal, and all of the kinetic rackets are legal to play with.

I'm sorry for quickly hijacking this, but a long while ago I searched for Hasselblad photos and your display name came up as the author for some of the photos. DO YOU OWN A HASSELBLAD??? *jealous*
