Babolat APDC - wish it was bit heavier

I have a pair of Babolat AeroPro DCs and love them. I really like the spin potential. As my game has improved in the last 2 years, I feel I could use a heavier racquet with the same characteristics as APDC. I wish mine was 0.5 oz heavier.

Should I simply add lead tape to make it heavy?
Is there any other racquet to try out?

Add tape to the 3 and 9 o'clock position. If you want to keep the balance the same add some to the top of the grip. Balance it out so the weight is divided equally to keep the balance the same. Good luck.

I added lead tapes to my apdc at 10, 2 spots and silicone in handle, raised it to 330gr. It hits extremely stably and never feel light that was causing over-swinging anymore. Think about it, this racket really could use a swifter swing in the direction of small beam frame.

But if you insist to try another racket, puredrive roddick is your friend. Extremely alike in headshape and frame but like 15 grs heavier.

+1 for the idea of trying a little lead for more stability.

As far as preserving the familiar balance you've got now, you can simply balance your racquet on the edge of a table or countertop and mark its current balance point with a pencil or tiny piece of tape on the inside of the throat. That way, once you put a little stabilizing lead on the hoop, you can counter-balance by also adding weight to the handle (I just put lead tape under my grip or overgrip) to get it back to that original balance point. Trial and error will get you there.

Even though the racquet becomes a little heavier overall after tuning, it's feel and handling ought to be more familiar for you if the balance is the same.
