Babolat grips tend to run larger by almost a size in my experience.

Do you mean when it's really a size 2, Babolat would name it a 3 or the other way round? I felt their sizes were rather small...

    A Babolat 3 would be a prince/wilson 4.

Funny, feels the opposite to me... The 3 on the Babolat PS is almost like the 2 on my Dunlops.

The Babolat grip on the APD is wider but not as high as a Wilson grip. It fills or stretches your hand more because it is more rectangular. When I do the check for grip size the gap is only very slightly larger than the Wilson grip, but the latter has been used a lot so the grip and overgrip are more compressed. I would suggest that if the gap doing the grip size test is narrow and you like your current grip size then get the same. If it is at the wide end of the spectrum and you want to experiment with a smaller grip then the rectangular nature of the grip would result in a smaller grip being the better option. The only other observation I would make is that measuring grip size with a new racquet and a new overgrip can be misleading as after a week or so of playing if you do a grip check after an hour's play you are often left wondering why you ever thought the grip was too big.

Same here, both my APD and PD size 3 seemed approx, 1/2 size smaller than the prince and wilson sizes.

If you read the TW review of the PD/PD+, you will find that they say the Babolat grips run 1/2 size large.
