so i got a free stringing machine from one of my relatives, he used to have his own in home business when he was in high school. while i was looking through some papers of what he used to sell, it listed leather grips. prior to reading his sales book, i thought fairway was made by balmforth. however, when i turned to his leather grips seaction, i saw that the babolat grips said "Babolat by Balmforth" and the fairways just said "Fairway (Brown, Black, White)"

so did balmforth used to make babolat grips? who makes them now?

note: he string during the late 80's/early 90's.

Yes, way back in the day, there was a leather grip made for Babolat by Blamforth. It was a different feel to their Fairway grip. HEAVIER by some margin as well. Had a nice feel, was a bit thick if I remember, and wasn't tacky, but not slick. Strange feel, but was great. I picked up a few dead stock back in the 90s from a now defunct tennis store out in Selden NY.
