I string my Pure Control @54lbs. What's really interesting is that I'm using TIMO string and if I don't use a dampner the racquet plays completely different. Different, meaning bad different might as well throw the racquet in the trash can, however, put the dampner in and voila! I don't know why I'm telling you this but it sounds good!!

TiMo works great with PC. I also like Super Smash Honey, and it gives you a bit more pop, even though you don't get as much spin or control as TiMo. I have 2001 Model.

interesting, i should recommend timo to my friend who plays w/ the 2003 pc.

he normally uses alu mains w/ NRG crosses @ 60lbs, but is now trying nat gut mains/alu crosses (ala fedex). he really likes the feel and extra pop, but is timid about durability.

I string both of mine at 57 lbs. I did have them at 61 and was getting no power and a sore arm. I also agree that a damper is needed and makes a huge difference.

I have both my PC's strung at 57 with wilson extreme syn. 16. Uh i don't think that the racquets play that different with or without a shock dampener but the sound is deinitly different (mental stuff)
